Do you think Banjo Kazooie 3 will live up to the Banjo Kazooie name?

I have a Wii, and I want a PS3. I look at the 360 and say, "Lawlz, generic first person shooters." And then I see Banjo Kazooie 3, and how much I want it.

How good do you guys think Banjo Kazooie 3 will be? Does Rare still have it in them? Will it at least be as good as its predecessors? Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie are absolutely amazing, and is one of the few games I remember my childhood by. They were the two best games on the Nintendo 64. The worlds were absolutely amazing. When I played FreezeFlame Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy, I instantly thought of the best Banjo Kazooie world ever: Halfire Peaks.

I think that Banjo Kazooie 3 has potentional to be one of the best games this year. I hate how it's on the 360, especially since I sort of pledged not to get one until the Red Ring of Death problem is fixed.

Just share some of your thoughts about Banjo Kazooie 3. What do you think of it?

Yes it will, Its the same exact team unlike perfect dark.

Viva Pinata was amazing, big sleeper hit.

Kameo and PDZ were solid AA games. PDZ gets extra hate because well Perfect Dark was dang near perfect.

Rare is returning back to form, i expect Banjo 3 to be the first AAA since leaving Nintendo.

It's arguably better.

I personally don't think it's as good, but it's up there.

after all this time i would actually hope that they would have new/better ideas for the game. I'm sure it will be very good though; 8.5 atleast.

Banjo Tooie was even better than the original one. GameSpot agrees with me. Bigger worlds, more challenges, new moves, and a ton of variety. It was simply amazing. Also, the graphics at the time were jaw-droppingly awesome.

Banjo Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge for the GameBoy Advance was mediocre, though. It was a handheld game, so I didn't expect much... I still expected more, however.

While I liked Banjo Kazooie, have you ever noticed how unbelievably easy it is to get every last jiggy, note, mumbo skull, holly honeycomb, and everything else in that game? One of the best games, ever, for sure. I just thought Banjo Tooie brought a lot more challenge, and I liked how there was a boss fight in each world.

In Banjo Kazooie, in the last world, Click Clock Woods, all you had to do was climb to the top of the tree to get a jiggy. In Banjo Tooie, even the earlier levels have much harder challenges and have you do a lot more than what Banjo Kazooie had you do.

Both are amazing, though. To be fair, sometimes Banjo Tooie was overly complex, which was a bad thing. Grunty's Industry, for example.

i really didnt feel like explaining it but you asked..perfect dark zero wasn't revolutionary or really good because it was good for its time and couldnt go any further than that..now i know perfect dark zero got a 9 here, but honestly that game wasnt even registering on the meter after 3 week.because games like halo 2 raised the bar and PD couldnt reach it.i think the same will happen for a new banjo kazooie..good for its time, but if made now,it wouldnt do much..especially after super mario has once again raised the bar for platformers.. maybe people like us would enjoy it because we remember how fun it was to play it on N64..but the youngersters today might not appreciate it...

I never had a 64 so I don't have any expectations, I can't wait to try it. If it's as fun as Kameo was that would be good enough for me.

The 360 suffers from a lack of platformers(not counting XBLA)and at this point anything is welcome.

Banjo-Kazooie is about 50X better than the crap that was Kameo.

Good point. I was actually thinking of the same thing. Look at Super Mario Sunshine. It didn't really bring anything new to the table, which is probably why it was such a disappointment.

Could it just be nostalgia? I don't know. Whenever I replay Banjo Kazooie or Banjo Tooie, I am still wowed by how amazing they are. They may be ten years old, but they compete with many games, now-a-days.

Super Mario Galaxy was better, though. But they are close. Very close.

Its going to be a disapointment. Rare has losed there touch, and there other 360 games prove this.

I say lawlz at the people who say "Lawlz, generic first person shooters", because crackdown, dead rising, kameo, mass effect, lost odyssey, blue dragon, and even katamari and viva pinata beg to differ. Plus all those non generic shooting multiplats (Assasin's Creed, Devil May Cry 4, Rock band, etc.), and Ninja Gaiden 2, banjo 3, fable 2 and the others coming up ahead. So yes it is a console that only has generic first person shooters.

And seeing how some of the most hyped PS3 games right now are Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 both of which are shooters. I wouldnt really talk.

I think it will be at least AA. Kameo, Viva Pinata, Perfect Dark: Zero, Star Fox: Adventures, and many other Rare games have at least gotten AA.

Sure, they may not be making AAA titles like Perfect Dark, Goldeneye 007, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Donkey Kong 64, and many other games, but at least they can still make fun games.

I think Banjo Kazooie 3 will get around an eighty-five percent on GameRankings.

I was sort of joking. But most of the 360's amazing titles are first person shooters, like Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Bioshock, (If you consider it one.) The Orange Box, and a few other ones. Was Perfect Dark: Zero praised at the time, or was it always a letdown?

Anyway, the 360 exclusives you named don't impress me, but I know the 360 has some other good non-first person shooter titles to offer.

We know basically nothing about it, not even the official title. I think it could, Banjo is pretty much the quintessential Rare franchise but really, the most we can do is just make a bunch of assumptions and take a guess. I'll say that I'm not expecting anything great, but I was never the biggest fan of the Banjo series anyways.

It's the same way with Wii... "Wii only has kiddy games," "Wii has no good third party games," "Wii only has casual minigames."

Same way with PS3 too. SW loves to stereotype.

Not a chance.

Know why?

Because Rare could only ever make AAA games when they had Nintendo showing them how.
