do you think consoles lost their appeal in the way they look like nowdays??

i actually love my little PSone :P Nice decent box that plays games and so its whit my SNES and N64. But these days consoles try to be PCs. Of course online features and harddrives are important but why they have to look like PCs seriously. All 3 consoles look like PCs vertical and they are intended to be like this. I hope its just a trend and the companies go back to the old style like the gamecube did, as nice small machines without disc drives breaking your games.

they are not intended to stand vertically, they are intended to stand vertically or horizontally, you decide. my 360 and ps3 are both standing horizontally in my entertainment center..

I have no Problem with there design because i like that they don't look like toys any more, they actually fit into an adults living room:)

pokemon cards are pretty much out, yu gi oh and magic again seem to remain the standard in the next decade again.

but horizontally doesnt look as good as vertically since the design is made to be vertically. I would rather have a design that is made for like gamecube. Of course they dont look like toys anymore but i feel like i should rather game on the PC than.

The old consoles actually looked like gaming consoles.

the new consoles look like weird computers.

I never thought my Ps3's (slim and fat) lookd like a computer, though have always thought the 360 did.

The Wii looks like a DVD player to me.:P

indeed. although they are obviously designed this way for heat efficiency which apparently wasn't as much an issue with their older hardware.

Dont know about you, but when I took my ps3 fat out of the box, I didnt want to touch for the soul reason of tarnishing its sexy looks.

so your telling me the gamecube and xbox had appeal? :?
