Why didn't MS attack Sony's problems directly and made fun of them. The way that Sony goes after other companies such as saying Nintendo Wii is used just to baby sit kids.

cause Microsoft are a Noble company, and do not need to mock the inferiority of its competitorsLord-Dweedle
Yeah I kinda think MS has more class. I'm looking at alot of past quotes from Sony. Man, they are arrogant and pretentious. they even hired a guy kevin butler ads to make fun of the competition. It's pathetic and a sign of weakness.

Precisely, Microsoft are the leaders of class, quality, respect & customer dedication. If it can happen to the Pentagon or NASA then it can happen to Xbox Live, or anything for that matter. Attacking Sony would prove nothing.
Microsoft didn't know there were problems, and when they found out there were problems they fixed it like a noble and genuine corporation would.why didn't sony attack microsoft after they release a system which they knew were faulty?.

Not agree with MS having class, but i'm agree with that about Kevin Buttler.
Because Microsoft knows it could happen to them.

Bingo. This has happened to big retailers, government sites, and countless others. MS is far from exempt. Also, why do you need to go after the competition when you are doing just fine according to your bottom line?

Sony probly use Microsoft Windows on their computers.. that run their security.. maybe Microsoft were infact behind the hackings? I never thought of it this way before. These companies never publically go after another.
You'd find often executives or employees are interviewed or asked a question, and they give their opinion. And just like any opinion in the console war, expect it to be biased.
Blue-Sky
This is false, Sony loves to bash the competition.
Tretton even told me that I have no self respect for owning a 3DS, being a 21 year old male.
Another thing Sony said: We are not afraid of a coffee stain (about Wii 2)
They said this post being hacked. Even in Sony's darkest hours (PSN hack, they lost all PS1+PS2 earnings this gen etc.) they still have this confidence lol.

Of course Jack would say that, he's a PR for heavens sake. They will say anything to make you buy their product.[QUOTE="bez2083"][QUOTE="Vari3ty"]

Sony probly use Microsoft Windows on their computers.. that run their security.. maybe Microsoft were infact behind the hackings? I never thought of it this way before. If MS was even remotely responsible for that incursion, Sony would have had NO problem throwing them under the bus. Sony will always eat a share of the blame, but the hackers are ultimately responsible.

No, im sure Microsoft sponsored the hackers now, since they know more about Windows, and sony used windows, omfg! the conspiracy is clear[QUOTE="Chris_Williams"]

Sony has through their developers or partners. Latest one not too long ago. http://geekrevolt.com/2011/04/12/infamous-2-pokes-fun-at-the-xbox-360/
You should read that article, it blatanly says sony doesn't own sucker punch, so their not a first party studio. The devs were making fun of the 360, not sony the corporation.[QUOTE="Chris_Williams"]Microsoft didn't know there were problems, and when they found out there were problems they fixed it like a noble and genuine corporation would.why didn't sony attack microsoft after they release a system which they knew were faulty?.
Lord-Dweedle
That is false. If they didn't know the system was faulty, they would have had a one year warranty like every other piece of consumer electronics when they launched the system, instead of a 3 month warranty.
Of course Jack would say that, he's a PR for heavens sake. They will say anything to make you buy their product.
VensInferno
I fail to see how that helps to increase sales, as they're alienating people besides Sony fans, who would already buy their products anyway.
Because not only do they have no reason to but it would also make them look like complete A-holes. Hope that answers your question.
Its one thing to mock a corporation for sales or design choices. Its another thing to mock them for being hacked and losing millions of CC information.

I think you take yourself and SW a little too seriously. A little sense of humor maybe?no, in real life sony are enemies of everyone else.....while everyone else could pretty much seemingly care less. (unless provoked)the real answer is because only in SW is MS and Sony enemies

this, i mean quite honestly thats not how a business is run and im sure investors would frown upon someone representing their share in such fashion. baisicly this situation is not a joking matter. there is absolutely NOTHING funny or even made to look funny about customer security...Its one thing to mock a corporation for sales or design choices. Its another thing to mock them for being hacked and losing millions of CC information.

That is false. Most electronics have 1 year parts, 90 days labor warranties.SW is not real life people. :?
I find it amazing that someone would even consider such a thing. PUBLIC RELATIONS. Really, a friendly jab at the competition is one thing, but MS will not go out of their way to hurt their public image just to appease a few fanboys.
MS and Sony go after each other all the time, but not with stuff like this.
They did this when the DS crushed the PSP and started attacking the I-pod.Why didn't MS attack Sony's problems directly and made fun of them. The way that Sony goes after other companies such as saying Nintendo Wii is used just to baby sit kids.

Precisely, Microsoft are the leaders of class, quality, respect & customer dedication. I think you misspelled Nintendo. I'm surprised at this selective memory, MS has their own depreciation PR guys as well. (i.e. Greenberg gloating after each NPD, Turn 10 mocking PD etc) (Sony's PR is pretty bad though no doubt about it, wouldn't be surprised if they replace Tretton soon)Because Microsoft had RROD... Not even PSN being down, measured up to that disgrace...Why didn't MS attack Sony's problems directly and made fun of them. The way that Sony goes after other companies such as saying Nintendo Wii is used just to baby sit kids.

Why didn't MS attack Sony's problems directly and made fun of them.jimmypsn1. Real world is different than System Wars. 2. It would have made them a glowing target to the hackers. 3. Could easilly be spun into bad PR for them if they don't watch how they do it. It's not corperatly feasable to bash another competitors product aside from the small jabs they throw around in media outlets. Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo would flat out stop the presses, hold a conference and say "You guys suck".

True enough. And I'd like to add another:
4. Believe it or not, MS is a company made up of human beings who don't revel in the misfortune of others. Sony isn't a mortal enemy. They're business competitors. I like to think that Sony feels the same.
yep they had major network issues where all personal information of users was stolen and possibly credit card information was stolen...possibly may have but unlikely. *laughs*They don't want to draw attention to the fact that they are the only ones charging for p2p multiplayer gaming, and since they've had network issues themselves it would backfire even worse.

You've played that sad song so much the strings are wearing out. :P Seriously, though, I don't know why people keep comparing MS's little hiccups to what happened to Sony. Hell, I don't see why they keep bringing up the fact that MS charges. Obviously we don't mind paying for it, so what's the deal?[QUOTE="Pug-Nasty"]
