Do you think people see the wii as a game console or a toy for kids to have fun

im not talking about the hardcore diehard nintendo fans here just the general casual person who buys a Wii, are they buying it to play the next big exclusive or are they buying it to swing there arms while playing Wii sports bowling, I have been to partys where they had a Wii up on a projector screen and people that dont play games where luving it getting right into Wii sports and the little kids there thought it was amazing, but it wasnt exactly because it was a great game it was because it was almost just like a fun toy to play rather than a games console.

I mean the only reason the Wii is selling at the moment is because it's like a great toy to play with and young kids are luving waving there arms all about making to graphics move when they do, parents luv seeing there kids not just zoned out playing on a gamepad but rather jumping all about having a laugh......

But these same gamers that are buying the Wii buy the millions are not waiting for the next great exclusive game, they are not waiting for a game with a great online to play against people all over America and the world, these gamers are waiting for the next fun mini game to come out so they can laugh and swing there arms around some more.

mean while 360 and ps3 owners are waiting for the next big hit with great online play, stellar graphics, great animation, huge productions values!!!

And to the people who skipped to the end bascially the Wii isnt competing with the 360 or ps3, the Wii is really just a toy for kids to wave there arms about like crazy and have a ball while doing it because thats just what kids do, sales shouldnt be compared to the 360/ps3 because it isnt even in the same league as these two and it isnt even really a serious games console at all just a toy for little kids.

All games consoles are essentially toys, kids jumping about playing a game is hardly a bad thing in the world we live in.

I'm 23 and the Wii is my only console, my two little sisters who are 7 and 8 share a 360, no games console is exclusive to any particular age group.

They do but these are the people buying the Wii in the millions and developers no this is the case and it's Why the Wii will get nothing but mini games galore, while all the serious great games will go to the ps3/360 because of the type of gamers they attract, the same gamers buying the 360/ps3 are not the same ones buying the Wii so sales really shouldnt even be compared.[QUOTE="Oscar-Wilde"]They see all consoles like that.bigLLL

That's because most of the casuals game for the 360 and PS3 get moved to Xbox live arcade and PSN respectively.
