do you think Portal 2 will remain the top rated game of the year on Metacritic..

throughout the rest of the year? if not which game do you think will average higher than it?

I can't see any game being better than the near-perfect Portal 2.

EDIT: Other than Minecraft ;)

The only games that I think have real shots at Portal 2 are UC3, Skyrim, Dark Souls, and MW3 (it still scores strong critically, although I bet it'll finish a few points lower than the first two).

I have to go with Zelda seeing as all the 3D ones have a 95 or higher on Metacritic.

You didn't post how high it was rated(95). Ocarina of Time 3D is also 95 with quite a few more reviews.

Wow, i can't believe it is that high. It was good but i didn't think it was nearly that good. I'd be much happier if it and Witcher 2 swapped scores. Oh well, i guess i don't often agree with critics.

Oh weird you're right. I did a search for it and it was listed as 95. But when you click on it, it changes to 94.

Ya its a remake, but if it was 95 it'd still keep portal 2 from being the single highest rated game.

i agree, portal 2 was damn near flawless. the writing, atmosphere, music, controls, pacing and overall gameplay are spot on. a classic in every sense of the word.

Lot of blockbusters coming out. Uncharted, Gears, Skyrim, Battlefield, COD, Zelda. I'm sure at least one of them will surpase Portal.

I was only being semi-serious, but it's doing well so far. (Only one review, but it's an AAAA review 8))

Unless Uncharted3 can pull of a SMG2 which I highly doubt it will even thoughI'm interested in the game a bit there's no chance of it beating Portal 2 in reviews.Themain consoleZelda games have always had a track record of scoring in the low to high 90s overall in review scores.The Uncharted franchise doesn;t really have a track record of scoring in the 90 on MC with only Uncharted 2 scoring above 90 on that site. The critc reviews can be above or below 95% for sure for uncharted 3.They maty even go below 90% so don;t rule that out.
