do you think PS HOME will make xbox live free?

do you think microsofts answer to home will be a free online service if home becomes succesful?

alot of my freinds are saying it should but then i remind them that microsoft gets every penny out of their consumers.

RROD and xbox live are the 2 main reasons i havent picked up a xbox 360 yet.

what do u guys think?

Perhaps someone can educate me as to PS HOME,

Do I need to download it? or do I have to get a Disc?

And are the Disc/Download Free?

And once I have it installed is service free for as long as I have my PS3?

You download it off of the PSN, for free.

Its always going to be free... unless Sony decide to change there mind down the road, which is possible I suppose

If PSN is a free downloadable service that offers the same features as XBL but for free then yes it may effect Microsofts stance,

If its something I need to pay for up front then I would imagine it would not.

it is free and should have the same features that xbox live has right now . I think you get it from the PS store.

I can't see MS ever making Live free, and for the price atm it's worth it. dru26

It would be interesting if it did.

It won't make XBOX Live free. MS makes too much money from Live to make it free.

I Think,Homes success may affect the price of Live,i would see no reason to pap for xbox live is PSN did the exact same and more.

Personally i prefer live nd think Home will suck but one can only hope

Instead of putting time, money and effort into making PSN better they pull this crap on us.

How about lets start with making sure games like Unreal Tournament 3 have voice chat before you go about revolutionizing the online world as we know it.

Comparing Home to XBL is like comparing Apples to Oranges, sure they're both fruit, but not the same fruit.

Home is a program that runs through PSN, its not PSN itself, the only true comparison would be PSN to XBL, untill MS releases some type of Home of their own, its not really comparable.

I doubt that because the PS3 will soon be have to start charging people because of declining sales overall.

it may be included in an update, but it's also a download as well.

Should they make it free? Yes.

Will they? Kinda hard to do that once you've been collecting money for so long. You get used to it.

Microsoft doesnt have to make it free.. they have been making money off it and it seems like Xbox users dont mind at all. Why make it free when people still continue to pay for it? Hell im sure they can raise the cost a dollar more (im sure users will get furious) but they will still pay it.

Ok first off what a stupid thing to do not buy a 360 just in fear of RROD i had mine RRODed on me 3 times i got it fixed 3 times free of charge man come on well i sold it after the 3rd time getting it back but that was so i can fix up my pc so who cares PC is better and getting ME, anyway back on topic that would be kinda lame for MS just to go free after so long giveing good quality online gaming to just go free what about the years before with paying for Live? they better not or im going to be pissed plus that small amount of income well i guess its not really that small when almost 99.8% 360 users pay for Live it is helping MS in every way possible so they got money to throw around and clam exclusive stuff buy out smaller companies you know expand but if they go free im really going to hate them because yes i payed to play CommanderTy

I just dont like the fact that when i pay soo much money and i know this product isnt designed well. i know thres a warranty but i dont want to waste time sending it in and tlking to them on the phone. I just find it wrong that the competitors product are very good quality and microsofts product isnt.
