If Rockstar needed more time to make the game as good as it can be, then I ahve no problem with delays

[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="clyde46"]Have we ever had a GTA game that wasn't delayed?clyde46San Andreas and Vice City? I thought SA was delayed, not sure about Vice. I wouldn't know, I didn't care as much back then.
As far as I'm concerned. They can take as long as they need to if it means getting an even better product. The last thing I want is a rushed game, especially one with the scale of GTA V.Xaero_GravityThis. This. This. This.
This.
If they are delaying it to further polish their game then this should be a good thing not something to be worry about. It's when developer rush their game to the market to meet their time schedule is when we should be worry.
What exactly do you mean by, "most of rockstars titles come out by now?" Like, by this time of year? Because GTA4 was actually the earliest in the year they've released a game, almost ever, and it was still late April. LA Noire and MP3 released in May, and GTA 3, VC, and SA all launched in October.

Damn right!
Let them take their time... no problems with that. I'd only wish for the PC version to get released with the consoles, don't want a few months of extra wait, but aside from that, I don't mind them making sure to deliver the game at its best.
[QUOTE="bleehum"] No, it's just being polished. Since when does delay = something bad is going on?Heroldp813
Duke Nukem
Which was delayed for a LONG ass time. You really want to say that's the same thing as GTA V being delayed a few months? Or even that delaying = bad is the norm?[QUOTE="bleehum"] No, it's just being polished. Since when does delay = something bad is going on?Heroldp813
Duke Nukem
There's a big difference between a game getting delayed a few months for further polishing, and a game getting stuck in "development hell."
So, unless you have some proof about Rockstar experiencing some major internal problems, you have nothing to worry about. No balls have been dropped.

I would rather wait for a polished version especially with a game as big as GTA.[QUOTE="BPoole96"]

Well even Duke Nukem, it was much more than just delays. It was delays that were  caused  by the fact that it was getting traded around between a bunch of developers, several of whom were crappy developers, on top of that.
Nope. A polished game is better than a rush game. Just look at Bioshock Infinite it got delayed twice and now its the lead candaiate for GOTY atm.
I have a suspicion that Rockstar have been too ambitious with GTAV and have bitten off more than they can chew, they're probably facing technical difficulties ...and the whole three main charcaters thing IMO might make the game suffer not only technically but storywise too. We'll have to wait and see how it turns out ...wont be surprised if it dissapoints though
I personally wouldn't mind if they waited until next gen to release it.lamprey263this. or atleast cross gen. though I would be picking up the pc version when it ever gets released.
