Do you think Sony was scared off by Gears 2 and thats why they delayed KZ2?

Do you think that had anything to do with Killzone 2 being pushed back to 2009? I mean they have been working on that game since 2005 E3 and last E3 they had ingame cutscenes of true gameplay, I dont understand why they are pushing it back again. Gears 2 and Marcus Fenix scared off greyzone2? What do you guys think?

Omg, Delayed?!?! say it ain't so. I've had to hear about this game for 36 months of non-stop hype since E3 2005 and now I've got to hear even MORE!!

no.... Resistance 2 and KZ2 were releasing to close to each other..... its only good business to spread it out alittle...and to work more on the game to make it the best possible.... We know Insomniac doesn't need much time to release a Solid Polished game.... GG on the other hand.... well lets just give them more time....

Well, if they're totally scared about it don't you think they'd have delayed Resistance as well?

The simple reason is you shouldn't have two top games of the same genre coming at the same time.

I love how gamers are so impatient these days. I'll happily wait longer for a game if it means it's going to be better. I hate how companies think it's fine to rush a game then release a patch or something later. Just disappoint people a bit, or don't set stupid release dates that you won't match.

Killzone did..alright.. commerically, over 1 million sales at least because I swear I've seen a platinum edition of Killzone.

Umm they have Resistance 2 slated for this Fall. That game was easier to make then Killzone because they can build off the first games engine while Killzone 2 has to start from scratch and has alot riding on its shoulders so I HIGHLY doubt KZ 2 was pushed back because of GEOW 2. It was pushed back so it wouldnt compete with their other exclusive shooter.

Why? They're on different consoles with a mostly different fanbase.

They will each push consoles based mostly on advertising money, not so much quality. Well, they have to be like good but if GeoW ends up Worse than Resistance 2 but MS puts their full advertising backing into it, GeoW will push more consoles and software sales.

2. 360 fanboys had better hope that GeOW 2 offers alot of new and exciting gameplay or else gamers will get the "been there, done that" feeling. So all of this KZ 2 is just another generic shooter is BS Imo. Aren't all FPS more or less the same when it comes down to it?

No it isn't! Stop making silly stuff up. Why would it be delayed just here? For Europe, the localisation is not needed as much as alot of it speaks English and PS3 is region free so they wouldn't hav eto change ANYTHING.

Err...there's alot of red and green around :| The Helghast have red eyes, the lights are often red and green is often used by the ISA.

And for a game set on a Death World (WH40k Term) which produced the hardest breed of humanity who are tougher, faster stronger and smarter than most humans you'd expect it to be a little depressing. Having a consistent theme is extremely important, and Killzone 2 sticks to that. And war isn't colourful surprisingly.

probably has more to do with not wanting to compete with resistance 2, and having the 2 games come out at different times so that the ... people who buy resistance 2 and quickly get bored of it will then buy killzone 2 ...

I have played Gears of War, for singleplayer you stick to walls alot and in multiplayer you run around with a shotgun.

Simplified, but it's how I felt about the game. I completed it on casual then 'meh'ed' it. Tried the Multiplayer, didn't like it so I traded it in for another game :|
