thier offices is some what like that hotel in home alone 2 where a whole bunch of tech support just let anything fly! even a 8 yr old using their parents credit card rtflol

There is no way on earth any company is compensating people for a free service being down. As for PSN+ users I could see them pushing their billing date ahead but other than that no.

They should give current PS+ members a free month of PS+ or some bonus like that. Free members deserve nothing more than an apology from Sony.

I remember when this happened on Xbox Live years back, they gave us some underwater XBLA game where you shoot spears. I didn't like it, so much that I won't bother to go boot up my Xbox to look up the title, but it was free and that was cool. Getting free things is nice.

However, XBL is a paid service, and those that got this were Paid Xbox Live Gold members.

I think maybe Paid PS+ owners might get some extra days or a free PSN game, but free PSN users aren't owed anything...sure it would be nice, but I'm not expecting anything.

Well, I didn't like it, and I definitely tried to like it. I remember it used the Unreal Engine, but that doesn't mean I like it based on the engine. I even played it with friends to try and get achievement points way back then. I did okay in that, but overall I definitely tried make the best of that free XBLA game experience that Undertow provided... but I just didn't like the game, mang. :P

I know GS reviewed it, they gave it a 6.5/10. To each their own though.

Glad you liked Undertow, it just wasn't my cup of tea.

well i dont really need prize but if they give free user free PS+ for 1 month and give PS+ extended 1 month. i quess that quite resonable

They will likely have to, not necessarily out of legal obligation (at least to free users), but for simple goodwill they really need to. Their company name is taking a brutal hit from this fiasco, and they have to do something to help qualm people's anger so that when the next consoles come out they don't lose a ton of their PS3 users to competing systems.

i think they will give all PSN users an extra free 30 days. i don't think their even expecting a thank you

They have already apologised several times on the Playstation Blog. People asking for gifts and compensation are plain stupid, you're not paying for it. Even if you're a PS Plus subcriber you shouldn't be getting any free items, deal with it.
