Do you think that LBP would sell better on the 360?

It sure is the best game I have played all year long. It probably will sell 1.5 million for the PS3 but I cant imagine how well this would sell if it was on the 360. What kind of sales would you see for LBP if MS was advertising it as well? We all know games sell better on the 360 at this point. Please discuss.

I doubt it would sell better or even as well as 360...  The difference would be minimal though. What these threads should be about is "Would an extremely watered down LBP sell 100x better on Wii?" Yes, it would. 

Going by larger user base yes, but which will sell more as a ratio in respect to each user base? Thats unknown.

It depends on what types of games 360 users like.

Pretty much any game without a prior fanbase would sell well if it were brought to the 360; the appeal of Xbox Live and Achievements alone justifies that. Franchises like MGS and God of War, which are better left on PS consoles anyway, probably wouldn't.

I do agree that LBP would sell really well on the Wii though.

Course it would, only games that sell even remotely half decent on the PS3 are shooters (See socom even tho it's broken, resis, greyzone) and the 360 even outclasses it in that section.

Honestly, if LBP were to have been released on the 360 I severely doubt it would've done much better. No infact, It would've done worst because it would've been released between Fable 2 and Gears 2.

It would sell slightly better because of the install base but sales would still be poor. 360 audience = bigger and more informed PS3 audience

I think it'd do well on the PC. PC has no restrictions so you can upload it and mod it any way you want and it could be a hit with the sims crowd

Uh no. Viva pinata didint sell a whole bunch and nuts and bolts came out and isint selling a whole bunch either. Its not the system. Its the people who own the system. LBP is a deep game wrap in cuteness. Same with those 360 games I just mentioned.

Would it sell better if Sony and Co did a better marketing job? I think so.

Frankly all of PS3 games would sell great on the 360 because one thing is for sure is that 360 gamers buy games.. I dont know whats up with PS3 gamers, they just dont buy games.. or let me rephrase that, they dont buy ENOUGH games when you look at games like Gears 2 selling 2 million on day one and LBP not even breaking 500k in its first week.  Yeah because people didn't already know about LBP's franchise :S. Look at Gears 1. It did trumendous. Obviously when people heard about the sequal they are going to get it. A lot of people have never heard of Littlebigplanet. Same with Fable 2, people know what the Fable franchise is. They have had years to discover the franchises. Do you know how much the first Fable game sold in it's first week? About 300k. C'mon people, LBP is the first in its franchise, give it time.

Proably about equal or worse than on PS3. Like other posts have said, games like that just don't sell on the 360, take a look at the Viva Pinata games, they're great both visually and gameplay wise, but they aren't big sellers. I wouldn't pick it up if it came out for 360 at least not when I have to buy all these other great games that are out right now. There's only one multi-platform game that I've bought this season before the 360 exclusives, is Fallout 3. All other multi-platform games will have to wait until after GOW2 and Fable 2. And even if wasn't going up against GOW2 and Fable, It'd be very last on my list of multi-platform games to buy, especially with FarCry 2, COD5, EA Sports games.

OF COURSE it would sell better!, I only own a 360 and never thought once to buy Viva Pinata let alone give it at least a try no matter what the score. But LBP would definitley have been a launch day purchase for me. GOD I wonder what kind of sales numbers MGS would've raked it had it been released on the 360:shock:
