Rather focus on other features like autostereoscopy, motion sensing, online capabilities?

I understand that at this point, there will just be wild guesses but I'm curious what SW thinks.

That would be great but highly unlikely. Some of the very best PCs have multiple video cards, gigantic RAM and SSDs.

The PC is upgradable, the consoles aren´t. A few months after the consoles are out, the PC is already leading again.

PS4 will be be a powerhouse, I predict similar stats to average gaming PC's.

XboxKinect will be the casual console, hardly a graphical upgrade.

Wii-U will be more hardcore than the Wii, being the inbetweeny console.

I really really really wish that they will not be powerhouses, but something in the back of mind tells me that MS and Sony know graphics can be a selling point for many people, and will make it so.

i think a better question about microsofts next system is what color the RROD will be next gen since they suck at hardware.

Sony has been dealing with hardware for eons now, they will have the best system once again.

Just read the first two replies to your post loosingENDS... People are running 4 GPUs in their PCs... the consoles, yes, this includes the 'almighty' XBox 720 or what ever it will be called, will not, again, not be more powerfull than modern PCs.

The consoles will be slightly more powerful than now. They will maybe be able to do native 1080 and some few titles will do 1080 at 60fps with the rest still at 30fps. AA might be present in at least half the titles. But Kinect, Move and motion games in general will play a much, much bigger role.

But Sony isn't putting much support for the Move so I'm doubting they'll be that highly focused on it. However MS doesn't seem to want to stop with it. Further more they're making a tablet so it's possible that next gen might be MS last console gen since they're moving to where the money is at.

MagicBox720 and Playstation 4 are going to be designed around casuals. MS and Sony badly want a piece of the golden pie that Ninty has. Their focus is going to be on making their consoles what the lies and promotion said they would be this last generation. So not really that much of a step up. They will be focused on the casual game crowd with Kinect and Move (knee jerk reaction) and for the social media (ie facebook and the farmville crowd). While PC will continue to race ahead and gain larger piece of the gamers crowd like it had before.
