Do you think there will be ever be a console or a deal that ends the fanboy-ism?

Just wondering. It's always PS3 vs Xbox 360...vs PC vs Wii? sure. But PS3 vs Xbox 360 mainly. Do you think there will be a time that Sony and Microsoft miraculously combine? Or do you think there will be a console that settles everything?

Or do you think this console war will go on forever?

I personally don't think Sony and Microsoft will combine. PSN is free and Xbox live isn't. But that'd be nice if crossplay was available. Earn total bragging rights. 8)

Even if there was one console on the market, fanboy-ism will never die. People will still argue over which franchise is better than the other... which game is the best out of the franchise...which weapon is the best... the type of controller you use... pepsi or coke... it will go on and on...

It'd be total anarchy, productivity would be non-existent. Everyone would be sitting down in their mothers basements all night and day playing World of Warcraft and talking to internet friends how many pixels Cysis has. And not getting any.

So the human race would die out because, being PC gamers, they never get laid, thus the population would take a massive hit i.e. x number of people dying while 0 babies are being born.

Also, all that Mountain Dew and Nachos PC gamers eat and drink couldn't be good for their health. This would drive the death rate up even further.

Places like nightclubs, bars, cinemas (basically establishment in the outside world) would go belly up because they wouldn't be taking in any revenue whatsoever. Everyone knows PC gamers never venture outside and have no social lives.

The world would be a terrible, terrible place if everyone was a PC gamer.

Having a favorite console/franchise is alright, it becomes a problem when you go around screaming at other people for having different opinions than you. Soo.. System Wars is a pretty terrible place.

It wouldn't be awesome at all. Competition is what we as consumers want.

It's human nature to take sides. To be comfortable with a norm and surround yourself with people with the same ideologies. What your asking is the same as trying to abolish anything that puts people on different sides of one another.

nope, games could be perfect and everything could be multiplat with perfect ports and everything the same and people would still find something to complain about

nope people will always like to argue about these pointless things.

If people will still defend something even after knowning the company does not care about that person then there is no point in seeing that anything will change their "loyalty" to a product

First question- Possibly but I doubt it. If they do, it wouldn't be a bad deal as long as M$ doesn't say "hey I think we should charge people to play online period Sony. Whatchu think?" and then they agree to do so. Second question- Nope. Absolutely not. There will always be a console war. Always. Unless you can combine a PC, Wii, PS3, and 360. Then yet some will probably find something to say about that. "The ps3 side is the best!", "no, no, 360 side killz ps3 and murderz teh wii!!!", "Wii saaide!". :P Just opinions.
