Do you think these games will be better on PC?

Since Mass Effect 2 is the same on PC and 360, I'm wondering if other games will be equal too.

I've currently got the PC versions of Metro 2033 and Bioshock 2 on pre-order, but honestly, I prefer playing games on my 360. If these games are better on PC, I'll get the PC versions. My PC is powerful, so I can max any game I want. If they're just as good on 360, I'd rather get the 360 version.

What do you think?

I personally prefer playing Mass Effect 2 on PC. Better graphics, sixty frames per second, and the option of choosing mouse/keyboard controls (you could always just use a 360 controller) make it the better of the two, in my opinion.

Ecen so if there are any substansial differences and since you can max almost all games why not get the pc version and play at 1080p and 60fps with AA instead of 30fps and 720p usually without AA. Let alone that the pc version is usually $10-20 cheaper

If you can get ME2 on PC, I'd say go for it. I'm running it on my laptop and it looks pretty good while being smooth.

mass effect 2 play like a dream on pc, and if bioshock 2 plays anything like the first, it'll also be great on pc, not sure about metro 2033... so ya, theres really no reason for you not to get those games on the pc, especially since you've invested that much in that high end hardware you have

It will always be better on PC. But some people don't want the extra benefits of the PC version, so they'll say that they are equal.

So you'd rather pay $10 more for the same game? And that's if it actually IS the same game, which it isn't. If you can max the game on PC, then it'll be much better played on PC for $10 less ($30 if you live anywhere that's not called "USA").

I own the PC and 360 versions of ME2. I just bought the 360 version about an hour ago. I'm currently installing it on my 360's hard drive. I haven't opened the PC version yet. I was going to return the PC version and get my money back. The PC version of ME2 on my shelf. Unopened. I took this picture for a 'My Collection' thread. When I said both versions were the same, I was talking mainly about graphical quality. The difference isn't as big as it was with the original ME. I thought it would be, that's why I pre-ordered the PC version of ME2. Yes, you probably notice more aliasing on 360, but it's not too bad. I know the PC version would have higher FPS, but 30 FPS or 60 in a game like ME isn't that important to me. Either is fine. What I might do is play through ME2 on 360 then return it to the store for a store credit, and keep the PC version for future plays. I suppose the best way to see if the PC version really is much better would be to play through both versions. I prefer controller to keyboard too. I hate using the keyboard, so if I keep ME2 on PC, I will use the 360 controller to play it.

 Have you even tried playing an RPG with mouse and keyboard? For FPS's, manybe it comes down to preference, but for RPG's is really a no-brainer that there aren't enough keys on a controller.

I got by just fine with ME on 360. Don't see why ME2 would be any different. I hate using WASD for movement. It's crap. An analogue stick is much better IMO. Of course, you don't have to agree. Not everyone has the same opinion.

but why would you invest in enthusiast level hardware if you're not gonna that many games for it and continue to get multiplats on the consoles? and i dont understand how 30 or 60 fps isnt a big deal with mass effect, when it's combat is real time third person shooting...double(quadrouple in my case since my moniotr can take advantage of fps up too 120) the fps always make a nice difference in any kind of aiming/shooting games, more fluid combat=better gameplay

Why did you buy such a high end rig if you generally don't like the controls for PC?

That's a good question about buying the hardware. I've had this PC since June 2009 and I've hardly used it for gaming. I'm not sure why. This is the first gaming PC I've ever bought. I thought I'd like PC gaming more than I do. I haven't really been buying multi-plats on console over PC though. I probably shouldn't have bought the 360 version of ME2 since I already had the PC version, but whatever, it's done now. I can return it to the store within seven days for a full refund anyway so I'm not too bothered. I could play through it in a few days then return it.

Judging by your rig and all the games you have I'm guessing you have a lot of money. So why not just buy the adapter to use your 360 controller on PC? Problem solved.

You make no sense sorry. There is no reason to buy this game on the 360 if you have a decent PC. 60 FPS, Higher Resolution, 10$ cheaper, better control.

Altho I am not sure, I think Bioshock 2 will be more or less the same on both the 360 and the pc (the first one sure did look very similar, so I doubt the sequal will be much different).

Metro 2033 I do think will be better on PC tho, by atleast a notible margin. Altho I am nore concerned about the controles on the 360 compared to the graphics (that game seems to need a great deal of buttens to use).

But since none of the above are out yet, it is partly gut feelings and previous work of those teams/help they have. + screenies and rare vid (altho it is quite limited what you can see on any kind of vid).

Exactly, not to mention very brief load times.

The difference between 30 and 60 fps is very noticeable imo.

its hardly a handicap one you get used to it WASD feels natural and while you trade off some movement its small price to pay for the added precision of the mouse. Aiming is more important then movement in an fps.

Eh, with ME2 it really doesn't matter. It looks and runs well on both platforms. For Metro 2033 I would wait and see. The developers (4a-Games) have no past experience with PC...so for all we know it could be hella buggy.
