Do you think we will get a game like Crysis on PC again?

Do you think we will get a game like Crysis 2007 on PC again? And by that I mean a game that pushes the boundaries of what is possible, Crysis was graphics king for many years and it is still widely used for benchmarking after all this time.

i already got a pc with genuine windows for titanfall.

nothing for me on ps4 yet but that could change.

Beats me. But, to me, Far Cry 3 already out-Crysised Crysis except in tech graphics. Even so, I find the graphics of Far Cry 3 very pleasing to look at. At least the interior in Far Cry 3 is more consistent unlike those in the first six levels of Crysis:.

This and when Unreal Engine 4 and CryEngine become available to more devs we start seeing more graphically advanced games for PC

No. Crysis was built for future hardware and remained the definitive graphical king until 2011. There will never be a game like Crysis ever again.

Who knows but I think a 4k game could drive the sales of hardware. 4k monitors have dropped down to 800 bucks and the next gen gpu's should make 4k cake.

Yeah when ever we can do a full light transport simulation using ray tracing to get state of the art CG quality graphics in real time. A game will have to do it first, so that will be an incident of "a game like Crysis".

If it's any comfort, I finished the campaign long ago. Now, I reset the outposts and go on an equal opportunity killing spree, even the Rakyat men and women if I so choose. Animals too. PETA's got to love this game.

Probably. Crysis wasn't the first game technicaly ahead of its time. Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Halo CE, Half Life 2 and Doom 3 were equally impressive.

Star Citizen might push some boundaries.

But the douchey white guy had the "tattow", it's like the GDDR5 Ram for cows or the Cloud for lemmings, it's magical and cures cancer.

Pc games get ignored because the publisher controlled gaming media want to promote casual mainstream games.

It's always been the way.

Star Citizen,and that will have a budget at least twice as much as Crysis did,it´s already aproaching 40M.

Most of that kickstarter money will be buying the developers lamborghinis.

Good thing that the Kickstarter money only ammounts to about 2M then!

are you serious? it's a realistic military sim. The game is only popular with a relatively small subset of the gaming community. It does not have great appeal to the general market

Eh, arma isn't a proper sim. It's more game than simulator.
