I just finished playing Crysis for like, the fifth time. Totally awesome game (both Crysis and Crysis Warhead), and I really can't wait for Crysis 2. And yes, I will be getting the PC version of the game on Steam. Crysis was completely desginged for the PC in mind, and although Crysis 2 will work fine on consoles, the PC edition is the cutting-edge version. I normally buy sequels on the same platform I bought the original game on, mainly because it keeps things more organised, and I don't have to get used to new controllers or manage a new friends list etc.

So what about you guys? I know many people havent played Crysis, mainly because your PC wouldn't run it well. Do you plan on getting Crysis 2 for your console? Do you plan on getting a new PC to play it? Or, are you a PC gamer who played Crysis 1 on PC, and might get the sequel on consoles to play online on your XBL/PSN friends list?

Me, I always wanted to play Crysis and the second one should be fantastic as long as the change of setting I've heard about doesn't ruin it.

If AAAE is "no substance", then that doesn't leave us with too many good console games, does it? Keep up the PC bashing spree.

I'll buy it on either PS3 or 360. If I owned a nice gaming PC, then of course I'd buy Crysis 2 for PC. I wonder which console version will be superior though?

Oh trust me, its much more than just graphics. How about awesome combat, tactical nanosuit functions, large envirnments, switching from stealth techniques to hardcore action on-the-fly, and so much more. I wouldn't have played the game so many times if it weren't for its great gameplay.

Since my PC isn't up to that sort of thing, I'll probably get the PS3 version if I feel like it.

Crysis is a horrible game. Took me 6 hours to complete if you take out the 12 hours I spent getting lost in the friggin ugly and boring alien space ship thing.

the storyline is decent, and the voice acting is superb (Physcho's voice is good) but the ending was TERRIBLE. Left me with... "That's it?"

After completing it I had NO motivation WHATSOEVER to play it again.

However, I played it some older saves just playing around various mods.

Oh and I'll most likely buy Crysis 2 on PC, if I can get this damn core i7/ HD 5870 build for $1500.

Most people on this forum will say the console with better graphics will be the superior version. But trust me, the "superior" version depends on which console controller you feel comfotable with, as well as which console has the bigger friends list for you. If all your friends are on XBL and you prefer the 360 controller, get the 360 version even if the PS3 had better graphics. Thats my opinion of "superior version" ;)

Either you haven't played the game or you're smoking some good stuff because the alien space ship was one of the better looking parts of the game.

Crysis 1 sold well on PCs, despite having high system requirements at its time of launch (Crysis 2 won't be that intense). Oh, and Crysis 2 will sell like crazy on Steam :)

Ya know, I'd love for the PC version to sell more don't get me wrong, but it's inevitable that it will sell more on consoles, almost everything does. I'd be willing to bet that half of the console market doesn't even realize Crysis exists and will only notice it when it hits consoles, it will turn into a casual game on consoles that the majority will lap up.

Unless the PS3 version is confirmed to be significantly superior visually, I'll get it for 360.

I really liked the alien level. The zero gravity was awesome. But it could have better if they added more aliens in there and the action was more intesnse. Nothing better than grabbing aliens by the throat and punching in the face :) :D Your name has "Ultima" in it. Did you get this from the "Ultima" game series?

There will be no DL numbers on Cryisis 2 for PC, so what you say is true and no doubt the consolites will have a field day with it, but that's only physical copies. Me and all my friends that still game on PC have switched to DLs.

Same here. I love Steam. I recently got that THQ pack with 20 games for a crazy $50 USD. Oh, did I mention how much I hate using discs for games? No more scratches, misplaced discs, etc. Thank goodness for Steam.

Counter-Strike was ported to consoles, sold significantly less than the PC version ever did. Call of Duty 2 sold less on consoles than the PC version. StarCraft sold less on consoles. Warcraft and Diablo sold less on consoles. You get the point. Being on a console doesn't automatically make it sell more, especially in the case of a series that began on PC.

if you prefer controls over a mouse a keyboard for first person shooters then you just havent played FPS games enough on a keyboard and mouse, playing FPS games on a keyboard and mouse is so much better!

Lol. Some people claim Crysis is a tech demo, 95% graphics focused and 5% gameplay focused, but Uncharted 2? No, it has to be both graphics and gameplay.

You'd have to pay me to get it on anything other than PC. It's being made ground up for the PC, with the console ports being handled my Crytek UK.

You got lost for hours on what is essentially a linear map? Even though they told you that you just needed to follow the air flow? Err... maybe you should refrain yourself from saying those things... It kinda makes you look bad...
