Does Anybody Still Doubt Mario Galaxy?

SMG has been getting glowing previews ever since it was first playable, the graphics have blown people's expectations of Wii games, and the game just looks like fun. Are there still doubters out there that actually have some valid reason to hate on the game?Sir-Marwin105

what more valid reason do you want. how many games do japanese dev. rehash over and over. i.e. street fighter. how many billion spin offs of that game can you name. i dont know how many times you can eat the same potato. but, its ludicrous for anyone to fall for these re run games. its mario not mario galaxy or mario super universe or mario gamma explosion. its just mario. how could you not be tired of that stupid face with a mustache. the game is from the 80's. its dead. next there gonna come out with mario in jordace jeans and a micheal jackson zip up jacket. its so sicking. the most detached game of the year. clueless!!

Mario Galaxy looks way better than Mario Sunshine, especially the environments, which are obviously one of the most important aspects of any Mario game.

Um, check teh saleZ. There are much more sheep that will rate this game 10! They will even put 10 for graphics which is a laugh and a half.

AA score in my opinion

I haven't seen too many ofthe SMG haters. The game looks pretty spectacular, and from every preview around the internet and magazines, it receives glowing reviews (previews). I'm gonna say it'll score a 9.0. A great title and classic game to add to my library, but I think the Wii owners are nuts to say game of the year at this point....I hope I'm wrong though.

If AAA wins, AA team has to create a new thread in SW stating why SMG is so great. If AA wins, AAA teams creates thread stating why SMG sucks. each member of the losing team writes a post in the created thread. And winning team gets to write posts in the thread bragging why theyre right. Thread should be created by KCPP2B (just so its started by the bookie, he wont make any remarks either way, he can introduce the bet if he wants) and have a specific name, then the team members will make their post on the game. If there is a tie, then both sides must praise their respective game in the same thread.

It's going to be a great game but I don't see why you sheep try and hype the graphics. They're not impressive in the least. It looks just like a Gamecube game with some shine on the characters.....so prettymuch an Xbox game.Lazy_Boy88

The art style and level design in Mario Galaxy are utterly fantastic. They play a big part in the overall aesthetics.

I don't expect it to be "bad", but it's a little hard for me to be excited about Mario.

Who knows, maybe it slaughters my expectations and I'll finally buy a Wii.

Speaking of which, wasn't there a Star Wars game announced that was in development specifically for the Wii which would take advantage of the obvious lightsaber functionality? If they did it right I would actually buy a Wii just to use that remote as a lightsaber.

Anyway... ya see if you don't wanna make a bet or you don't plan on following through then don't make one. Many people have honoured their bets why? Cause they have respect and don't go around doing whatever suits them best. If you don't wanna leave forever don't waste our time making that kind of a bet. VERY simple. It's an internet forum, based on arguing over videogames, and you run a fictional gambling service on it. Put it into perspective a bit.

I didn't say it to "diss you" because I don't care, I have no reason to dislike you. I just think the bets thing is ridiculous, and you take it too far. Might as well get a big dummy called Knuckles to run the collection agency wing. Track those welchers down so they can get their come-uppance, in the form of a changed sig that is obviously only there because they lost a bet and thus loses all impact.

just because it wasn't on par with Mario 64 doesn't mean it was a bad game, I actually thought it was pretty good.

Well, the camera is COMPLETELY automatic and no one has any issues yet, which is definately saying something considering how complicated everything is. And it's 2 player co-op. One player controls Mario, another one collects starbits using the pointer and stuns enemies.
