does anyone even care about crysis anymore ?

the amazing graphics at max settings were nice but with its mediocre mulitplayer and shallow short singleplayer all the game will be remembered for is making you waste a lot of money to max it.

ill just get back to playing cod4 now the far Superior game

CoD4's popularity compared to WC3 becomes even less impressive when you consider that RTS games are much less popular than FPS games :lol:

And WC3 is nearing 6 years.

I play the custom maps that come out for Crysis daily. It is a great game, I dont see how you can prefer a linear COD4 campaign over Crysis's huge levels and sandbox like gameplay and call it shallow. You probably played Crysis like a regular shooter going objective to objective never having any fun or exploring with what you can do with the engine. I'll admit COD4 MP is better but that doesn't mean that Crysis power struggle isn't ok.

I guess this is to be expected out of someone that was bashing Crysis since the demo came out.

For some reason, I played a new Crysis single player game last night. I haven't played the commercial single player game in over a month, though I played most of that through four times. Anway...it was a map titles Tilt. Downloaded it for free from Crymod.com.

It was a pretty good map which includes a large cave network. I still haven't finished. Sure it isn't perfect, but it is very good.

Crysis got 9.5 COD4 didnt.

Crysis got Shooter GOTY COD4 didnt.

As someone who owns COD4 and Crysis ive had much more fun playing through Crysis sp, multiplayer and sandbox editor combined than COD4 sp and mp combined.

I know but I dont see how can call Crysis SP shallow when COD4 will play the exact same everytime. In Crysis you will have different experiences based on how you play it.

yes i have. but not the entire game.. sadly... what i meant is that the game is AMAZING on high settings. the graphics, fps, textures really match the phenonenal physics on high. i think it's the best way to play the game.

Gamespot gave Call of Duty it a 9.0 for the MP. Should have gottan a 6 tops, Short SP for 2.0 points and 5.0 for the MP. and -1 points for the crappy A.I.

Well, I still care about it. I'm re-playing it for the third time now. On delta difficulty. Combine that with the latest patch and Natural Mod, it's a new experience.

On CoD4 side. Played SP once, liked it, but never wanted to play it again. Now I'm playing it online and I like it.

Crysis has an insane amount of replayability because of huge levels which allow complete sandbox gameplay.

Multiplayer can be fun also. I like deathmatch, I also like Power Struggle, but IMO, Battlefield is better.

what makes crysis so differant? I played it through and to be honest never realy was wowed by the gameplay but I was disapointed by it. Like "OMG it is so totaly open ended" yet there is no way past the mine feilds ecept to go through the gaps.

Single-player was way too short for me. M

Multiplayer was alright but doesn't have the lasting value of say CoD4.

Seriously, Call of Duty 4 was good, but Crysis is a far greater step forward in game design and AI than the practically on-rails nature of CoD 4.
