Havent really seen a game worth spending 60 bucks on yet......for the PS3

have alot of high quality PS2 game's im still playing though. fallout 3 on 360, everything else is meh....

barely anyone owns a ps3 here in the philippines...

if he does have one, i'd assume he has to be a hardcore gamer..

unfortunately for sony, here in the philippines, people prefer the PsP, and are more prone to DL games..

i know a couple people that bought a PS3 mainly for the blu-ray and to play madden and nba 2k in HD

almost everyone i know who owns a current gen console only owns a PS3, so basically i know casuals, hardcore, so-so, you name itst1ka

When I say casual, I mean people that barely play once a week and has a library of games like Sing Star and Buzz. I'm pointing this out because I know I'll be bashed on calling players hardcore and casual....

My dad got it (at my recommendation) when he got an HDTV. He needed a Blu ray player, and at the time, it was the best option. Turns out, he really likes Flow... something I didn't expect. I got him Call of Duty, and he plays it once in a blue moon. So yeah, my dad is a casual PS3 user.

And how do you spot a casual PS3 user? When you visit them and turn on the system, they havn't applied last months firmware update.

I casually play hardcore games, what does that make me?

Also my brother has PS3 and the only games he owns is Madden and MLB the show.

Some people might conisder me a casual... I don't know what do you think?

I play whenever I feel like it, which can range from 0-15 hours per week. Depending on how busy, or bored, or whatever I am doing.

Strange though. Surely any guy who would admit to playing Singstar or Buzz probably wouldn't be casual, seeing as if you were to be so open about it...? Well I'm generalising, but still, so many macho morons would laugh at the idea. If all anyone played was CoD 4, I would say they were more casual gamers because of the limited scope of genre they adopt.

My father owns a PS3 and uses it exclusively for Blu-Ray. What is wierd is that he bought Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and Grand Theft Auto 4 and has never opened/played either game. He owns like 40 blu ray movies last time I visited him.CWEBB04z

Well for me its different...

All the Ps3 owners I know are casuals

and all the Ps3 owning regulars in my store are either casuals, or have 360's and dont play thier Ps3's

Sure do. One of my Professors at school. He is the definition of casual. And by casual, I mean he bought it for Blu-Ray and owns no games for it.SpruceCaboose
