Capcom has a great outlook on their new games, if it ain't broke don't change it.Toriko42If they had stuck to that earlier RE4 wouldn't have even been made. I don't think RE5 looks like much of an improvement. While RE4 took some steps in the right direction it definately took some backwards as well, and this game looks to continue that formula. Take 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
Ever since they screwed up the series permanently with Resident Evil 4 my hopes are not too high.
I'll buy it thought, the good Resident Evil games still far outweigh the bad. Yes, this includes Resident Evil: Gaiden, Resident Evil: Survivor, Resident Evil: Dead Aim, etc... etc...
you know, they have a good formula going with RE5.
im glad they kept the same kind of gameplay method from RE4.
but for godsakes, atleast make the game have better animations or atleast new ones.
the game looks too much like RE4. which isnt a bad thing.
but it feels like capcom is playing WAYYYY to safe this time.
the game needs a lil bit more spice in it.
but hey, ive only played the demo.
holy crap TC you might be on to something, GeoW 2 looks and play almost exactly like GoeW1, same with halo 3 :o
OMG the sequel RE5 plays so similarly to RE4, thats crazy
Personally I think it would be hilarious if it went back to the style of the older games.
It would be great too, just imagine what the graphics would look like.
Capcom has a great outlook on their new games, if it ain't broke don't change it. I agree with them. Don't screw up the RE4 formula and you have a guaranteed awesome game. Toriko42RE4 was a whole new take on the RE formula and Viewtiful Joe was a whole new take on the Beat-em-up genre, both immensely successful. On the other hand, DMC4 was a conservative take on the DMC formula, and it failed miserably, as did Onimusha 3 and Maximo 2. Point being, RE5 could go either way. Capcom works in mysterious ways.

That said, I'm not excited about RE5 because it's nearly identical to RE4. Co-op? I don't play co-op, so I don't care.
