For the most part I don't care, especially since I already have the console of my choice. But, I see how some people could get mad who had just purchased a console, and find out a particular game that they like is going to a cheaper, or a console that already had a lot of exclusives.
Personally, I could care less as long as the game still comes out. As I don't purchase a game every month, but more like every 3-4 months. The thing I would be more worried about is multiplat console exclusive features. Since at the moment to me it seems that the 360 version of games are getting more online content than the Playstation versions.
I really don't care. If Halo 3 went to the ps3 as well, so what ? I will still be able to play it. And as long as i have fun my console, i don't give a **** about it.
yes, i care. If the PS3 loses exclusives then these guys always go on about it, so i'd like to shut em up, + it kinda makes it feel like they put more effort into the game, not having to adapt it to different consoles
Nope I don't care. the only ones that should care are Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo employees. Nobody gains anything about a game not being exclusive anymore except them. But a lot of people DO gain about it, So... why not?
If you already have the console, I don't see any reasons. But yes I do care. Lets be reasonable about this, the reason a certain person buys any of the consoles or plays the PC is mostly because of the different games you can have on each of them or the different experiences you can find in them.
I personally could see the Wii going in the way of the PC: Having alot of exclusives mostly because of the different interface and as of right now I want more exclusives to come to the Wii and why is that? Because they are mostly the ones who will take advantage of the console.
Considering that people pretty much are using the multiplatform excuse as a means to use the word variety, you will probably really soon see people bs themselves on why exclusive content is bad for any certain console. Specially in this generation since exclusive content will become scarcer by the minute. To put it all in one, exclusive content is the reason I'm going to choose one console over another and its quality, not the brand.
I think anyone who doesn't own all consoles should care, the number of exclusives to your console(s) of choice are a factor determining the success of it/them which in turn affects the games you'll be getting in the future.
If everyone could play the same thing, the console wars would be OVER. Peace on Earth. ( expect for minor wars concerning graphics, sound, control, online features, ...the usual .)
I do care why? because they wouldn't be making games specifically for one console. Kojima said that he would make games specifically for Wii, 360, and PS3. He most likely won't make multiplats because he wants to utilize the hardware in each console and put it to good use.
I kind of care. If I can get every game on a console costing $200 less, most of which are better versions, then there is no point in having a PS3. That is why Sony needs its Final Fantasies, its Metal Gears and its Devil May Crys. Otherwise there is no incentive to buy it, games-wise.
The only people that might care are those that are unable to get them all. For the rest of us, we coudln't care less. The only reason we might be concerned is if a particular console lost a ton of exclusives to the point that our purchase became pointless. But that won't ever happen.
