I just wondered . At the moment people are like beautiful colors , great graphics , graphics king but if you are colorblind then it doesnt matter so much . You only care about gameplay .

Do people with no hands care about gameplay? No, because they can only look at the game and can only care about the graphics.
I don't understand your point, TC.
The terrible jaggies that infest nearly all PS3 games will be there even if you are colour blind. Fully blind people are the ones who wouldn't care about graphics.
lol what. So if people are colorblind they can't care about graphics?I just wondered . At the moment people are like beautiful colors , great graphics , graphics king but if you are colorblind then it doesnt matter so much . You only care about gameplay .

Must point me to these horrible jaggies in nearly all ps3 games. I must be blind. AND if we slow down any game on any platform we'll see some jaggies so your comment is BUNK bro...or should I say...your comment is FANBOY bro..

Wut? Is this 2007 :|
Do colorblind people care about graphics? Do deaf people care about sound design?
Does it really matter what people with disabilities obviously won't be able to notice? Besides, I think a better term would just be blind, TC. Colorblind people can usually still see some colors.

They can still fully appreciate former(console) Graphics King like Gears Of War and Killzone, so why not?
They can mix up color. like the sky can be green and the ocean red. Or you can have a complete lack of colorWhy not? If i'm correct, isn't colourblindness where they mix up colours (i.e. what is Green is seen as different). Furthermore, they're not blind and would still be able to make out other details.

Perception can change anything. For Colour Blind people to imagine what you and I see would be impossible, but who's to say what we're seeing is what's actually on screen?

Ahhh, I see. Thanks for the clarification.
Retro gamers don't care much about graphics the way these people do, if you're looking for a group of people.
But even retro you can have people drooling about pixel-art etc.
I'd just like to point out that something like 75% of all men are color blind to some degree. For myself it's a slight red/green blindness and yes I can still see and appreciate all these colors and graphics. I can't see certain shaeds of red and green and some deep, dark blues look purple or vice-versa.
If they're fully colorblind then at least they dont complain about bad graphics if the overall picture is nice .

I also have a red/green colour deficiency. It rears it's ugly head only a few times, but each time it irks me :x
Also when you get older it gets harder to see some colors and Yellow is one of the first that older people start to have trouble seeing.I'd just like to point out that something like 75% of all men are color blind to some degree. colourblind =/= resolution blind. maybe the people who have very poor blurry vision? do they care?
My friend is colorblind, and since his limited perception of the color spectrum has been constant his whole life, he has no idea that it's an impairment really. And he likes nice graphics same as anyone else.I just wondered . What!? I'm color blind and I play video games and I also paint. Like I said earlier people who are color blind do not see in black & white (we don't share the same vision of a dog).I don't think they play videogames.....

there's this fancy thing with people that have miopia (blurry vision for distant objects... distant as in "3ft or more away") called "glasses" or "contact lenses". it's pretty neat. What!? Well people who has total color blindness are seeing only in black & white . I dont mean some other kind color blindness . And I dont think you are total color blind because you said you paint . How do you know what color to paint sky if you dont see colors ? Green sky and blue land ?
Just because you're colorblind, it doesn't mean you can't see and perceive detail. Therefore, they can still care about the graphics.
As far as i am aware yes. It usually Reds Greens and Browns. Why not? If i'm correct, isn't colourblindness where they mix up colours (i.e. what is Green is seen as different). Furthermore, they're not blind and would still be able to make out other details.

If you want to experience what they see, play some Killzone 2.
(A joke, people! A joke!)
Edit: Weh.. a somewhat similar joke posted before.

Yeah, dogs can see color. Its more limited and dulled, but they see color. You do realise that that colour blindness is very common in males and that most never realise that they have it? 99% of people that are colourblind see colours very similarly to you, it's just that certain colours are not QUITE as vivid, making it harder for colourblind people to tell the difference in certain circumstances.
If you can't EASILY and CLEARLY see the number 45 in the above circle, you have a form of colour blindness.
If you can't see the number 56EASILY and CLEARLY, you are colourblind.
Most colourblind people can see all the different colour dots, but they can't see the hidden number because certain colours do not appear as vividly as they should. But it is only very slight and, aside from these tests, it will never impact on their life.
Interestingly, many birds of prey have red green colour blindness (most common form in humans) and scientists think this helps them see through camouflage... so you could argue that some people with colour blindness actually have better vision in some circumstances.
Yeah... I can't see the 45, but I can see the 56 very clearly. I already knew I was colorblind, it's mild though. You do realise that that colour blindness is very common in males and that most never realise that they have it? 99% of people that are colourblind see colours very similarly to you, it's just that certain colours are not QUITE as vivid, making it harder for colourblind people to tell the difference in certain circumstances.

I can't see the number either, but interestingly I can if I tilt my laptop screen (being an LCD it must distort the colours enough for me to see the "hidden image").[QUOTE="thetruespin"]

But there is a HUGE amount of ignorance about colour blindness, despite being very common. I also get annoyed that colourblind people are automatically excluded from certain jobs, even if they have a very mild form. You would never get away with that if it were any other type of disability.
For example, I cannot be a commercial airline pilot simply because I have mild colourblindness. A friend of mine who has poor eyesight would be allowed to be a pilot, provided he could pass a test that demonstrated that his sight was "good enough". For colour blind people it is a simple ban... no test... no case by case.... just a blanket ban.
