Does Gears of war 3 have a chance at getting a 10 on GS?

No It's guaranteed to get a 9 maybe 9.5 but that's it.

They gave GTA4 a 10. They gave MGS4 a 10. I'd say GS is capable of anything, now.

This is lemminSpot, which has a history of corruption (google Kane and Lynch GameSpot incident for those that don't know what I'm talking about) So of course one of Microsoft's only big exclusives is going to get a perfect score on here regardless of anything. Granted, I disagreed with the Infamous 2 review, but that was personal taste.

But there's no evidence suggesting Gamespot is corrupt. Seriously. The 360 doesn't have an AAAAE, the PS3 does. Plus 2 PS3 exclusives won Game of the Year here. So where this bias conspiracy comes from is just confusing.

8.5 - 9.0 Story telling has never been gears strong play. I'm guessing that 3 will have a dissatisfying ending, or weak plot all the way through, just like 1 & 2, so they will take points off for that. they always take points off for weak stories.jigglebilly1983

I doubt it. I'd say it's more likely to get a perfect 8.5 than a 10, but it'll probably be 9 or 9.5.

A quality writer behind the story doesn't necessarily raise the chances of the story being better. Raises hopes, is all. For all we know, she could've panicked and turned in the first thing she wrote, for better or worse.

I know. Case in point: Homefront. I'm just pointing out that it has a bit of hope this time around. Not that I personally care, as most of my time will be spent playing Horde with my friends. But if our campaign run is backed with a good story this time I won't complain.

Doubt it. There's always the possibility but that's like 0.01%. :P

Who cares? Bottom line is that if I had a 360, I would get this game no question.

Oh, i'm sorry. I should have known you'd come up with a ridiculously arbitrary limitation to try and give your argument credence. It got a 10, a AAAAE, which the 360 has yet to achieve = poo poo all over your original point.

How about the fact that Demon's Souls also won GOTY on this very site? Or that Uncharted 2 received a 9.5? A score higher than your 8.5 that supposedly PS3 exclusives consistently score lower than?
