Does GOWIII have GOTY 2010 on lock???

It was announced most anticipated game of 2010 but how big really is this game?

It is way too early (not even 2010) to say that a game has GOTY "on lock." It is only towards the end of that year that one can start saying these things with any degree of accuracy.

Gonna be a good game, but im sure Halo Reach will take GOTY 2010

That title could easily go to Reach as well.

It's hard to say just because there are so many great games coming out in just the first half of '10. The entire year will be solid for any platform

I haven't played the demo, but there are some nice games coming out in 2010, only time will tell!

But in all seriousness, most anticipated doesnt mean its going to be a good game, it usually ensures decent sales, or the fact that the public generally thinks Kratos is cool. Hey, I voted for God of War 3 most anticipated, just because I knew it was going to win the award and hey, it looked pretty cool when my friends brother played the first 2. Kratos is cool

But no, Mass Effect 2 could dethrone Elder Scrolls Morrowind for me as Game of All Time.

Way too many other great games coming out for one single game to have GOTY on lock already. I definitely think it will have a legitimate chance, but its not a lock for any game yet.

GoW 3 would have to do a lot to win GotY next year. Nothing is guaranteed.

On lock? Hells no. There are PLENTY of titles that can stand toe-to-toe with GOW3. SMGOTY2 (:D), starcraft 2, Halo:reach, ME2, FF13, Metroid: Other M, Zelda Wii( if it hits 2010) etc, etc.

Hell even games like NMH2 could win.

NO game has 2010 on lock.

In fact, id say SMGOTY2 has the best chance of winning, based solely on the fact that the gameplay is so top notch( and that it beat out, IIRC, the previous games to all these mega block buster sequels when it won)

Seriously? We haven't even had GOTY 2009 yet.

GoW3 is going to be good and receive positive scores. But I doubt it will won GOTY for 2010. I'm hoping Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, Witcher 2, Mass Effect will be the top contenders for goty.

I don't think that it has PS3 GOTY on lock. GT5 will probably be great and if Last Guardian comes out I can see that winning unless it's total crap. I think people on sites will want to be one of the ones who could recognize a title like that as GOTY... and it doesn't matter whether it's GOTY quality or not.

A resounding NO. 2010's lineup is too good.

It'll be a huge game, no denying it, but with games like Mass Effect 2, Halo: Reach, The Last Guardian, Metroid: Other M, and Mario Galaxy among others, it's impossible to say GoWIII is a lock for next year.

There is no guarantee, but a strong chance.

Have you looked at the other GOTY worthy titles next year?
