Your opinion. I think Halo is overrated and generic. Out of the two I like GoW more but how can these be compared?

Well, they have similar scores but it depends. God of War is an action game, and a damned good one too, it gave Sony a mascot that could stand toe to toe with Samus Aran and Master Chief in terms of non kiddie mascots, and the game is something people who have played it have nothing but the utmost love for. Halo has also gotten pretty stale, and while there are more to play and online, its best to savor the first 3 and forget ODST and Halo Wars.

Plus, here is a calculated average of they're scores (metacritic):

Halo = 97

Halo 2 = 95

Halo 3 = 94

Halo: ODST = 84 (I'm not counting wars because it wouldn't be too fair against Cows, plus it isn't Bungie made)

Average = 92.5

God of War = 94

God of War 2 = 93

Average = 93.5

Even then, there are a wide variety of arguments such as how just the first 2 could beat God of War, or how the more Halo games = the better,or how ODST is just an appropriatelypricedexpansion (something I've actually heard lems use when scores come up), or how God of War isn't milked- there are a lot of excuses one could use to defend fanboyism and bias. Not only that, but the 2 games are so insanely different no one could really properly agree on one without some bias towards a specific genre. Plus the games are so similarly scored it really doesn't matter, metascores are really give or take 5 points, though if you wanted a statistical answer you have it.
