Each iteration of Call of Duty sells approximately 10 mill per system. Maybe the storyline in COD is too complex for you to handle, boy.CallOfDutyRulez
Does Infinite have the worst story telling in the history of games?
Wipe away debts
Found the girl
Nothing happens
Nothing happens
Find out about rifts
Nothing happens
Nothing happens
Nothing happens
Nothing happens
30 min explanation at the end
Why are you supposed to hate Comstock? The build him as the villian but you don't know his motives and their then kidnap Elizabeth he hasn't really down anything wrong.
Because you are the false prophet and must defend yourself against him? He hates you and that is why you hate him.Why are you supposed to hate Comstock? The build him as the villian but you don't know his motives and their then kidnap Elizabeth he hasn't really down anything wrong.

You were supposed to hate him at the beginning because the society he built is comically racist, and he apparently keeps his daughter locked away in a tower. It's weak though, you're right. He wasn't much of an antagonist, even after the Big Reveal. Certainly nowhere near as interesting as Andrew Ryan or Shodan, and he barely appears throughout the game. As for the storytelling...sure, a lot of the plot between meeting Elizabeth and your final encounters with the Songbird was mostly pointless as well. I mean, everything with Fink and Daisy only seemed to be there as a veiled excuse to explain the rifts to us, and there were large stretches of gameplay where the story did not move in the slightest.Planeforger

The racism thing deosnt work when everyone at that time was racist. Plus they pretty much ignore all the racism after the first quater ofthe game

Thanks for the laugh.
LOL at idiots striving for attention. Pick the game with some of the strongest story telling in games and claim its the oppositeRR360DD
While I haven't played Infinite, I doubt it has the strongest method of telling its story... I think, as far as the actual writing goes, Nine Hours Nine Persons, Nine Doors takes the cake. Â That game merges the strength of video games and novels to tell the story, and it pays off brilliantly.

I said some of the strongest story telling. I know there are games out there just as good / better.

I was just throwing that out there :P
Not sure what there would be to miss.. The story wasn't some extremely complex piece.. .. And the "twist" I saw a mile away.. I wouldn't even call it a twist..Over simplified

Like I told someone before, a lot of people saw some of the ending coming because it's basic stuff for that kind of plot device. But there is no way in hell you saw every single part of that ending coming and knew all the ins and outs of it as soon as it happened. If you say you did it's a blatant lie and a cry for attention to make yourself seem smarter or to downplay the game.
The narrative is quite complex and if you don't think so then you aren't looking at it properly or fully. There is stuff you won't even see until you go through it a second time and realise just how deep and well laid out it is.Â
And of course it's a twist. How could it not be?Â

Yep and there it is. Another idiot comparing a videogame story to a novel.Â
If we compared all videogame stories to fantastic novels, they would all be sh!t. You are one of these people that doesn't like Infinite's story and can't stand it when others do

lol boy are you dense.i'm not only comparing it to novels, the gatsby bit was an obvious joke, no one is expecting novel-esque writing in a videogame. but i do disagree with people acting like infinite is this pinnacle in video game writing because it's just not. hell, it's not even on par with its predecessor's.Â
also, when have you seen me harping on infinite's story on this board? i can't stand that others enjoy its story? how did you come to this conclusion?

I've seen more people making threads or posting saying how terrible the story is compared to the amount of people saying it's the greatest or the pinnacle of gaming stories. People are starting the hate bandwagon early because it's popular. Note I never said it was the best ever either, just pointing out some people are going over board on the disliking of it. I mean the title of this thread alone is such huge over exaggeration
I just got that feeling from you by what you were posting.Â
also, enough with the name calling sean, it's petty and not a good look.
you've been on this brigade since the damn game released, jumping on anyone who doesn't find the story or overall game as enjoyable as you. get over it....

Like I give a sh!t how I "look" on an internet forum.Â
I'm not on a brigade, I even made a review of the game stating some of its bad parts and I have said several times on here that it's not as good as the original in many ways. I'm just pointing out the huge over exaggerations people are making about it.Â

well i'm not one of those people making those threads, i'm also not "hating" on it. i enjoyed the game, it's a solid 8.5 for me, but i did not find the story anywhere near as awe-inspiring as some of you have, and i'm not alone in that opinion.Â
as far as the thread title, it is obvious flame bait and you know it...

How was Booker an extreme racist? How was he any more racist than anyone else during this time peroid?
Yeah, I don't like it. The Leuteces feel incredibly forced anytime they appear ... Once you introduce the many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, anything goes. The game did feel intriguing to me probably up to the point of freeing Elizabeth, and it went downhill from there.
