It means that if you want to make money, you better release your game on the 360.

If a developer is crazy enough to make an exclusive, they better release that title on the xbox if they want to make mucho dinero.

It does matter to me. If a developer makes lots of money on the 360, they will likely invest on that platform again and again. They will continue to make the 360 the lead platform...and they will be ever so reluctant to create a PS3 exclusive.

It does matter to me. If a developer makes lots of money on the 360, they will likely invest on that platform again and again. They will continue to make the 360 the lead platform...and they will be ever so reluctant to create a PS3 exclusive.

I think it is funny how people say sales do not matter on system wars when the way of judging what console wins the console race is the one that sold the most. How often is it brought up how many PS2s were sold.

Also sales of software does matter because if a game sells very well on one console then the developers will know it is a smart choice to put all their future game son that console. The other way is though if games do not sell well on a console developers will not be as worried about exclusives on that console and will not spend as much money and man hours on ports of games to that platform.

If no one cared about sales then the NPD and weekly Japan sales threads would not get any post but instead they get many pages of posts.

yeah it matters because Microsoft shareholders are no longer worried about the company's involment in video games since they are making a profit on the Xbox brand
