Does Microsoft care anymore? where are the games?

What is going with Microsoft? Xbox been dry with no games since 2009, all they have is Gears, forza and halo. whats the deal here?

You probably have too many multiplats then, i only bought 3 games last year for the 360 ( games that were released 4 years ago ) and bought over 30 PS3 games last year. dont know what u talking about

Oh, it's this thread again. Don't see any of the people who are always complaining about repetitive threads in here yet. Not really surprised though, it seems threads are only repetitive if they are bashing the PS3, but 360 bashing threads, that have been done a million times are different I guess. Double standards abound.

Yeah I guess I never played Halo Reach, Forza 3, crackdown 2, Fable 3, Gears 2, Forza 4, Gears 3, all Exclusive XBLA games, Kinect games like Dance Central, Sports, etc. Since 2009. :lol:

well I'm going by system wars standards of course. Personal prefrence is up in the air, still taking a shot at games being produced on PS3 while defending xbox360 is an uber fail.

Bashing PS3 games while defending 360 games at this point just proves you are doing so out of fanboy motivation. There aren't may 360 games to be up in arms about anymore to be actling like it's somehting special, eveyone has played thoes old games from 4 and 5 years ago. I have tons of games onmy 360 too but those old games don't make up for new games coming out now.

Care about money, yes. That's all that EVERY company cares about.

If PlayStation Move wasn't a failure, Sony would be pumping out motion control shovelware right alongside MS. Xbox 360 has no games, but the console stomped the PS3 and Wii in sales last month.

What does that tell you? Not many people IRL give a f**k about exclusives. Most of the games that people want to play are multi-platform.

Here's what I think isgoing to happen:

MS will probably show off the next Xbox this E3 and they will kill all support for the remaining 360, they will completely abandon the platform just like they did the last Xbox (Sony is only one who supports older systems). MS will focus on Kinect 2.0 and will bring out a new Halo game that they will milk every year, the next Xbox will probably be only slightly more powerful than curent systems.

MS only has about 4 or 5 1st party franchises tops, and only about the same amount of devs sadly. They have Halo but no bungie, they have Gears but no Epic, they have Alan Wake teambut MS doesn't support them, they have Rare but MS doesn't support them at all, that leaves them with only two main devs next gen. Forza and Fable, that's it. The rest is all Kinect focus.

This is all just my speculation of course, but if you take a good look at the direction MS is going, this seems the most likely.

Read an article today in the new GI with phil spencer and he states that ms has been focusing on bringing the xbox brand into houses that it wouod never have had a chance to enter and that they are well aware that they need to develop high quality core ip in order to be relevant with all gamers.... basically its the truth that everyone has known who actually have a brain. Ms has an incredibly healthy core lineup through third party and enough first party stuff to keep them very relevant till the conclusion of this generation when they announce knew high quality ip to carry their xbox brand forward.... not casual not kiddie, just business and moving the brand forward. Not stiffleing it or destroying it as some morons with zero business sense would want you to believe, just moving it forward.TheEroica

That's complete crap, they have nothing to appeal to a large crowd from an exclusive perspective. Everything is Kinect, Halo, Gears, Forza, Fable. This is what they push. I guess if they were the only company it would look good but comared to SONY the amount of games and variety is pretty pathetic. They do beat SONY and are pretty much on par with Nintendo in terms of taking care of the Casuals if that means anything to the industry though.
