It wasn't for you. It was for developers to better help them develop games. That's what the Game Developer's Conference is about.YellowPikWOW so do you really think that he told the "Developers" something that they don't know already? nothing he said was inspirational
but the crowd's anticipation was sky high!! how could he disappoint them? and what makes not doubt that the whole "i'm not allowed to say anything" was because GDC was coming and he didn't have anything good to announce?grayfox_2k
It's not E3. Its not even TGS.

yes i know, they were DEVELOPERS (check my last) but don't u think that DEVELOPERS don't have anything to do BUSINESS DEALS? we knew that their won't be any MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS, but at least he could've made a SPEECH that ATTRACTS the developers... some new tools for motion sensing (like what sony did) so that the DEVELOPERS can perfect the technology... the speech provided NOTHING not for gamers, not for DEVELOPERS, and FRIGGIN' PISSED OFF... NINTENDO'S key component for success this gen is the 3rd party support, and that speech did anything but to enforce that...[QUOTE="grayfox_2k"][QUOTE="YellowPik"]It wasn't for you. So instead he talked about the direction Nintendo was going as far as market wise. This was great for publishers wanting to know what games to put on the Wii and Ds. Just because he didnt anouce any new toys doesn't mean he didnt help developers.

I'm sorry you feel that. I, on the other hand, thought it served it's purpose well.
but there is no point in tryin to bash ninty or miyamoto for a boring speech when its GDC, Thats exactly what it is, a show for dvelopers about developing games and thats what miyamoto talked about. Sony's e3 was embarassing and this doesn't even come closecriscotwisterok u don't understand what i was trying to say... they could've at least offered DEVELOPERS some tools to enhance 3rd party CRAPPY games... see nothing new but very helpful, and there's tens of other stuff that they could've done that doesn't jeopardize that deal they're trying to make, but Ninty got a bit lazy and ARROGANT towards developers... they're starting to act like SONY i tell u

again the purpose of what? and nothing he said about himself and his vision was new, everyone knew those stuff about miyamoto... i bet he got a little arrogant after receiving the award... and all that "ur a legend" talk screwed his head[QUOTE="Jandurin"][QUOTE="HeedleGlavin"]I wasn't expecting anything. What do you expect? Nintendo cant legally announce anything at the moment with their stock situation.I'm sorry but that preatty much explains it.

i feel Nintendo is half assing the market by solely concentrating on NON-GAMERS, theve been beat down so many times that they are now relying on non-gamers to pull them out of a jiffy.
Concentrate on games nintendo, and the people who actually play games, not some 80 year old grandmother who will play it once or twice.

Nintendo cant legally announce anything at the moment with their stock situation.I'm sorry but that preatty much explains it. i'm sorry but that's a poor and lazy excuse as i just explained in a previous post... there's tons of other stuff they could've revealed without hurting the deal... Nintendo needs to maintain the momentum they gained upon the release of the Wii, they need the "DEVEOPLERS" support, GDC was the right place but they screwed it, what now wait till GDC'08?... that speach and attitude did anything but help there cause

I hate when people don't know what there talking about...
Nintendo wasn't allowed to announce any new info.
They were grateful enough to show us some PH multi player, and great SMG trailer
and he hinted at an expansion of the Mii channel, the speech should have surpassed any expectations because there shouldn't have been any expectations in the first place.
There was a huge anouncement from Nintendo saying there would not be any new info, because they are going through big stock thing and any new info could affect it.wooooodedude i know about that already... but i wish they didn't show up at all and not make that crappy appearance at the show

They did shown the devs how to make better Wii games. You think they were going to videotape all the people working on this? What Miyamoto said onstage wasn't everything that happened with Nintendo at GDC.

Well I have to say I disagree. GDC was started for developers not the press and gamers.

Yes. It's conference to developers, not general public. That was E3 for. If people think that KAZ and Miyamoto's speech was the same, they are fanboys.
1st reason. Miyamoto isnt unveiling his system or setting where are they going. This is already proven, so his words are to expand his market, not to start it
2nd reason- THIS CONFERENCE WAS FOR DEVELOPERS.
3rd reason-RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDGE RACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER
                 GIANT ENEMY CRAB

Enough??
