Does MS have some very SNEAKY secret weapons planned for 08? Could MS>08

to me 2008 is going to be a lot better than 2007 with the 360, im not a big FPS fan so halo3 and cod4 didnt really have me jumping for joy but this year there is lost odyssey, ninja gaiden 2!! fable2 these 3 games to me are all must haves im a huge JRPG fan so im almost looking foward to lost odyssey more than anything except maybe white knight story on ps3

There is no super hero master chief coming out this year but in 08 there catering to more than just FPS/shooters in generalfans which is a good thing because I was getting sick of shooters.

Fable 2 would be nice probably gonna be 09 though.

Infinite Undiscovery... or is that 09 as well?

Ninja Giaden 2 is gonna rock, I'm looking forward to that more than any ps3 exclusive, but thats just me.

GoW2 would be nice but unlikely.

But this year as much as it pains me to admit it, I think ps3 will have the better line-up for most people. unless MS pulls something out of their arse

But honestly I think this will be the last generation of systems where we really see alot of exclusives. 3rd party developers are going to wanna milk as much money out of us as they can and to do that they are going to have to multi-platform their games.

Lemmings keep listing the same 3 or 4 games (of which only 2 are from established franchises) over and over again and then saying "and many others". What others? Unproven new IPs, thats great. This is why the PS3 is in a position to overtake the 360 in 08 or at least make up some of the separation, Sony has far more established franchises from which they can choose to make sequels to. You've got 120+ PS2 owners sitting there saying "it would be great if they made another _____, I loved that game". Well chances are that if they game did any notable sales, its a possibility.

Yeah, I remember really hearing about CoD4 during last years Super Bowl, I couldn't believe it came out at the end of last year...so quick. Should've delayed it to work out all the online problems...

I think that it is good thing the 360 is taking a chance with new ip's unlike the other two consoles. New IP's have been very succcessful on the 360 (dead rising, mass effect, bioshock(you can argue it is system shock) , Lost planet, and crackdown).

Um, I didn't say new IPs were a bad thing, because they aren't. Next generation is all about doing something new. The PS3 is taking chances with new IPs, so don't say it isn't (Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, etc.). The problem is that new IPs are unproven, they can be good or the can be crap. Nobody knows. Compare that to an established series like Gran Turismo. Every installment has been good and has sold significantly. Thats the difference.

Gears of War2 will probably be out this year (Nov). There's still plenty of time to market that game and would be wise to start after GTA IV drops.

The best thing MS can do to win 2008is cut the x360's price by $100 ($250 for Pro) right before GTA IV drops. Paying for all the Madden commercials again would be wise too.

This is the year when Sony needs to pump out some worthy and GOOD exclusives to push hardware. GTAIV going to 360 was a major hit, but that doesn't mean the game won't move Sony systems even though it's out for 360 as well. Sony needs to advertise the hell out of that game on their system despite it being multiplat and get another price drop. The majority of people played GTA on PS2, they need to remind people of that. There are still far many more PS fans out there than Xbox fans, just look at the number of PS2 owners. Also, Sony needs to get their act together with an online system. Home is still very unproven.

I think MS has an easy year no matter what, at least with steady growth. They aren't sure about Gears 2 coming this year, otherwise they would have announced it, although I'm sure Epic has been working on that since the first released. Too human is another iffy this year as well as Fable 2, not sure what the deal is with that. edit: either way, they aren't system sellers like MGS4 or FF13 if it comes.

Bioware will only make multiplats from now on..

Their last possible exclusives are the mass effect games, think they have a deal with MS about that..

Other then that I seriously doubt bioware will ever make a new exclusive game.

We'll hear a lot more about the 360's line up for 2008 now we're in 2008... unlike the PS3 the 360 had some worthwhile games released in 2007 to concentrate on rather than saying "look what'll get delayed/cancelled/ported in 2008... they'll be great... just you wait"
