im not understanding your point.
Use those round things in your face?
lets try to be abit more helpful. You didn't really make an argument in your OP..just posted low res pics.
but to answer your question in the title..yes..they do.

Open the images in a new tab, low res my arse.

What's the point in posting a random group of ancient bullshots and PC screenshots? Next gen consoles aren't even out yet, never mind the fact that it'll take a year or two before devs get accustomed to the hardware.
Would have been cool to make some screenshots yourself and compare them to PS4/One games with legit screen captures, obviously not now, but after release.

aren't all of these from the PC version(s) ?
not really the best choice to prove your point.
1080p/60fps Killzone SF. Watch it and tell me that's possible on a current gen system. And the game's only using 14 of the 18 CUs with hardly any optimization, ALU or low level Api. The game's just a first gen rushed launch title but still looking godlike.

Awwww, none are bullshots though...
Wish to see my Steam images?

All directly from in game, i know it is hard to understand.
Next gen games will definitely surpass current gen games graphically, but don't expect the kind of leap in graphical fidelity we go from, say, PS1 to PS2.

PC can't count in the generation jump.. Since it kinda constantly evolves.
BUT the quality of PC games will go up also with the new console generation because PC won't be held back AS much.
Hermits should be just as happy as console gamers in all honesty.
compare the early Xbox 360 and PS3 games with early PS4 and X1 games, the difference is night and day; quite simply, games get better on a system with time
Well if you look at ever gen, launch titles have never represent what a console is capable of. The PS4 is coming out with better dev tools this time around, so maybe that will speed up the process. But I guess games can only get better as the life of the console goes on. I would wait till a top dev shows its 1st or even 2nd gen game to see what these consoles are capable of. A lot of the game out there are either ports of a lastgen consoles, or games that were 1st made for current gen consoles, and then moved to be X1 or PS4 games.
Well yes....everything will get clearer and more detailed. But 400+ dollars worth more? I recently decided, no I wont be jumping in with X1 at launch. And PS4 is not in the current plans either. I'll use said funds on other things and wait. Until Line ups are better, and still buy both consoles. In reality, its Christmas time and I don't have the money to spend on me and ignore others. I'll get in next year.
@AMD655: Who gives a flip about whether or not the images are high res? I was playing CoD: United Offensive a month ago in 1440p, does that game look better than even DR3?

Maybe if you open your eyes, you may see instead of being blind.
The difference from now and next gen is very minor on PC.

Higher res does not automatically = overall better looking. I'm not so much attacking the thread as I am the notion that higher res automatically = overall better looking. This is a very simple, supposedly easy to grasp concept.
When i played FIFA14 on the PS4, i could immediately tell the difference, same with COD Ghost, it is night and day. Those are games that do not even use the full capacity of the consoles, when you mentioned Forza 5 and Killzone Shadowfall, the gaps becomes bigger and as the generation progresses, the gap would only grow bigger
@PernicioEnigma:
360/PS3 can't compete with PS2, PS1, SNES and NES in games.

I'm just talking about graphics.
Why is this screen even up there? http://static.gamespot.com/uploads/original/1253/12539083/2373542-0021498196-
It's not always about image quality, you can clearly see that no shadows are being cast, these are the kind of things that distinguish current and next gen graphics. Not only this, but I have played Sleeping Dogs and during a rainy weather, most of the reflections don't get blocked by another object, that makes no sense at all.
The largest difference is definitely environments. Next gen is much more crisp for the most part. Now current gen games like Forza 4 and MGS are pretty close to next gen in my opinion but not as graphically amazing as what we are about to witness come Friday. Initially I think most people were disappointed in the graphical leap but as we near we can definitely see a significant difference. We really have to give credit to the developers more so than the hardware companies because they are the ones that make it possible. We must encourage the developers to push these systems to their max potential which I think we have a lot to look forward to this next gen. Uncharted 4 will really give us an idea of what kind of hardware we are dealing with. Lets do this guys and gals.

I agree, a ps1 game in 1080p will still look like a ps1 game.
Yes, but it'll look much, much better.
@lamprey263: Im so tired of people saything this crap. The developers were new to making HD games so thats why the early ps3 and 360 games looked like garbage. Developers now know how to make HD games so if there was a chance that the next gen system's games were to look better we would have seen it by now
and lighting and textures and frame-rate and geometry and draw-distance and model poly count, etc. upgrades.
When the Xbone can't do 1080p with the new CoD, I'd be hard pressed to believe it's capable of upgrading all of those in addition to resolution.
No, not when you consider the fact it's essentially a resolution upgrade.
Go look at a gameplay video of Killzone 2 and Infamous 2 then look at Killzone Shadowfall and Infamous Second Son.

Killzone SF and Infamous SS just have bigger worlds and a bit more things happening on screen. GRAPHICS WISE, it can be done on the ps3 with smaller worlds. Killzone 3 isnt far off from Kilzone SF. KIllzone SF just has slightly better textures and a bigger world. If there was a huge leap in technology between current gen and next gen, games like Watch dogs and MGS 5 would not be on the ps3 and 360
