Does playing games make you appreciate real life graphics more?

I was observing a wall earlier and a realisation stuck me....this looks pretty good! Now the question is, would I have experienced the same feelings of enjoyable and enrichment if I had not played games? Maybe...maybe not! Now ask yourself this, Have you ever looked at a sunset and said to yourself, "This blows Crysis out of the water!" Come on now admit it! I know you have! Having a greater appreciation for the finer things in life might be an unexpected benefit from gaming! What do you think? :)

I suppose...to keep within the boundaries of discussion in system wars....which system do you think makes you appreciate the world in which we live in most? Personally i think the variety of Pc games does it for me! Myst seris espcially deserveres a mention! The game has unbelieveable attention to detail!

Idk about comparing life to games graphically speaking but theres times where I've been in the woods and saw sunlight beaming through tree tops and was instantly thinking, that is so Crysis. lol If I had never played Crysis I wouldn't have made the connection.

Definitely. I was outside for the first time in 2 years the other day and I saw this brick wall that the sun was shining on. It was the highest resolution texture I had ever seen. I pressed my cheek up against it and felt the slight ruffles grind up against my face. It was the most amazing moment of my life (even more so than being the first person at my local Gamestop to get the Ultimate Edition of God of War 3).

Real life doesn't have graphics, dude. I think you need to go outside more and realize this, we don't live in the Matrix.R3FURBISHED

You can't say real life has the best graphics because some people's eyes aren't powerful enough to run it.

I've done this. Loads of times, when I'm walking in my local woods, the instant I see a beam of light emerge through the trees I think of Crysis.

Or, when I'm walking through my city in the old industrial parks I see all the dust in the air inside the abandoned buildings, so when a light beam passes through the worn windows with all the dust, I always say to my self "Hell yeah, Killzone 2!".

It's awesome. :P

Real Life Graphics?

I went to a museum before, saw alot of Graphics there. Its really vauge how you say Graphics like that.

No, but I do see some things IRL and think "That would look awesome in a video game or make a great setpiece." Either that or something reminds me of a video game(ex That factory reminds me of HL2)

A graphic is a visual design.

So in real life, video games are, in a sense,graphics.

Playing games makes me appreciate playing games.

If I wanted to play a "near-real life simulator of warfare with the sleekest graphics ever" game I'd go for some paintball or airsoft with my friends.
