Does ps3 have a strong lan party scene like xbox 360 does? Im moving into a 6 bedroom house and theres gonna be a xbox 360 for each room. Each roommate has a xbox 360. I think xbox 360 would have a stronger lan party scene because of all the exclusives that are popular for lan parties. Games like left 4 dead, halo, gears and shadowrun make xbox 360 stand out for lan parties. I hear crickets when thinking about ps3 and lan parties.

Maybe, just maybe, those two sentences have nothing to do with eachother.

So the 360 has a strong LAN party scene because the house you're moving into has one?

Are you implying the PS3 is unable to do lan parties on the scale that the 360 can? Connecting more than one PS3 to a router is quite simple. Plenty of games can be played and enjoyed in a lan situation. Warhawk,Mag Socom, Motorstorm, Killzone and Resistance are just a few that could be played and played quite well. Just because you have an opinion that the games you like make it better for lan parties is completely arbitrary and has no bearing on the subject.

So? I'm moving into a 7 bedroom house and each room has 2 PS3's and 2 TV's. Who's got the stronger LAN party now?

Not sure. I think the 360 is more popular in the lan department because the games are better for it (Halo L4D etc) than ps3 games. I don't even think KZ2 has a lan option but I'm not positive.

Where do get he was implying anything in his post I would like to see it, seems like he was merely asking a question. Do you always feel the need to mention PS3 exclusives , that you'll turn any argument to post about them? It's obvious PS3 can lan just like the xbox question is do PS3 user do it also , Well I don;t know.

I'm pretty sure they do. I haven't tried it.

Although if you REALLY want a LAN Party get Age of Empires 2 and Link up with like 7 different Computers.

THAT'S a really Party!

He never implied anything. He's just asking a question.

Anyways, I assume the PS3 has a large LAN party following too. Just you hear less of it than the 360.

I really want an Icee :(

360 imo has superior Lan support although nothing can compete with Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Mario Party :) Halo is close though.

I dont think it does. Here and everywhere I search for lan parties xbox 360 dwarfs pc. Your also more likely to have multiple xbox 360's in a house than multiple gaming computers in a house.

Eh? I can imagine 360 having stronger, because the most popular games on the console seems to have it.

err no. Your more likely to have laptops than a xbox + screen per person at a lan. just did a lan 2 weeks ago with mainly laptops and a ps3 as a side attraction.

 In all seriousness though, over the summer a bunch of friends and I got together (16+ of us) to play the original Halo like old times. I didn't even know that could be done on the 360. Some of them don't even really play games anymore but it was a way to hang out again and play a great game. Nothing nerdy about that.

Not likely its the ps3...but then again the 360 has a strong lan scene? maybe the original xbox but that died pretty quick with the 360.
