Some of the best game ever made were sleeper hits and some had medicore sales. So does sales always mean a game is great fun?

Like the saying goes: Just because McDonald sells millions and millions of burgers per year does not mean it taste great.

I have found that most of the games that sell really well turn out pretty good. Some turn out to be a bit disappointing, but none have been bad from my experience.

You shouldn't need us for reassurance when playing your unpopular games. Just play it, and don't worry about the sales until the developing team gets fired or they try to water down the next installment for the mainstream. That's when you worry. :D
