Does Skyward Sword look visually better than almost every Xbox 360 game?

My brother seems to think The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword looks visually better than almost every Xbox 360 game ever made? I couldn't believe it when he told me was being serious? What do you think?

Well, it is using a nice cel-shaded art style. It won't have the polygon counts of a standard 360 game, but it is still a striking game. I think Super Mario Galaxy is one of the best-looking games of this generation.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Technically, no. The game does have a good visual style going on, though.

lol no, the game is not even hd also the game graphics are not that impressive hte environments looks plain.

It seems to your brothers coming off a bit fanboyish here, so i dont think he can make an unbiased decision on it, if he said almost every Wii game then i could see where he was coming from, my cousins a halo fanboy and i get in arguements with him all the time :lol:, Still looks great though.

Maybe he likes just the way it looks? Most gamers don't look at whether a game is in 1080p, or if it has motion blur etc... They just look at what is in front of them, and if the visuals are pleasing or not. Personally I disagree. SS graphics seem unfinished (which they are). I would wait before saying anything like that.

Visually no but art style it depends on him for example Kirby epic yarn got the best art style this generation nothing on HD twins or PC can touch it.

I agree with Kirby epic yarn, that game looks unbelievable artistically.

In other words, "NO". Let your poor bother play some 360 games so he can be educated.

I like the look of Skyward Sword over any of those last-gen images, and would state that it actually looks better than a few (why that Splinter Cell screen is in there is beyond me, the game looks better than that.

I'm back again to revive this thread from last night, I got quite a few opinions together last night but I would like to hear some more opinions but it does seem that I was right.

Well, he said 'visually' and not'graphically', so it comes down to taste, really. I find Metroid Prime Trilogy more visually attractive than Crysis. The graphics are far, far inferior, but the art style is some of the best, if not THE best seen in video games.

imagine was twilight princess or Skywardsword would look like if they were developed for the 360 in mind?

Yes it does :P. Kameo is ugly as hell. And btw no it doesnt look as good as 360, as it cannot possibly look that good. But it is very well done and IMO looks better then SOME of the lower end 360 games in a tech way. BTW Fable II is uglier than Twilight Princess IMO, but obviously it has some smoother objects and such. But the animations, framerate, effects and some other stuff lack so much it looks awful.

It's a visual treat in a composed sense of feeling and style, but if we are talking high polys then no.
