Does Sony have any mass on their feet to shoot them selves in?

Sony has been shooting them self into their feet since the PS3 launched.

Why do they keep doing it?

Now w/ the 40GB PS3.

I welcome the idea of a $399.99 PS3...but why the **** do u take out BC...BC is a big thing...and for many people may be a decision maker...I mean why not take out Wi-Fi and put in the GS for BC....Not many people have a wireless network...I do...but many people don't...but then again many ppl are on 56k dial-up.

I don't get it...Sony could have really made the PS3 (40GB) awesome if they had included full BC for PS2 and PS1 titles and taken out Wi-Fi....and I don't think that the EE+GS Cost more than Wi-Fi...

I'm a little confused about the BC argument. If you want to play ps2 games then why the hell don't you just play them on a ps2?

And you do know that with such a significant price drop within the first year sony would have to give something up on the console. You can't have your cake and eat it too :D

and its called updates, besides, not even the almighty Xbox has full backwards combatibility in the beginning

and wi-fi helps alot for those who have it, besides, dont you think that people who r buying PS3's are bound to have extra cash for wi-fi

Wi-Fi can be added...why didn't Sony just gives us full BC...(like they had w/ the 60GB) and sell the Wi-Fi as an add-on.

U can't just add BC through a software update.

I am seriously questioning Sony's take on this gen....are they taking this gen seriously...or are they like...**** the PS brand...Blu-Ray will make us more money when it wins...
