I keep seeing people post that the 3 yr warranty covers the 360 but is it only those experiencing the 3 red rings or everything?

Discuss.

If it's somethingthat was your fault, well then duh. They're not gonna give you a replacement if you ran over your 360.

If fyou get the ROD then it will, if not you have to pay most likely unless you bought a warranty.

People keep throwing it around like the warranty covers the everything. I just want to make it clear.

By the way, what about the disk drive?

From what I understand, you have to pay if you get anything but the RROD. unless your current (one year?) all-coverage warantee is still good. If you bought your 360 at launch, and you get a DRE or it starts scratching your games, you're boned :/ unless you wanna pay.

Only 3 rings. If something goes wrong with the disc drive I'd say put the thing in a box on and let it fry itself. Then you'd get your replacement.

Yea, its stupid, but its only the 3 red rings. Disc drives aren't covered. But heres some advice, and it worked for my friend. His disc drive messed up the same time I got 3 red rings. Try to sabotage your 360. put it on the carpet, and the power supply, and leave it on for a long time. Try to get some dust inside of it, and hopefully it will mess up and get three red rings. sounds dumb but hey, might as well try it.
