There have been a lot of threads trying to decide who will win the console war in this generation, the 360, PS3 or the Wii.
Here's a point, regardless of who wins this gen, I think that the success of the 360 in this gen (it has definately been a success), puts the Microsoft Xbox in pole position to dominate the next console generation.
What do you think?

Your kidding right. The Wii is destroying MS chances of ever placing first. I own a Wii and a 360 so I am no fanboy but come on now.

The Wii is a sales success, but it has not proved itself as a platform yet, the PS3 its ticking over, but its future is uncertain.
MS has the first console of this generation and it is a proven success, it may not be the biggest by the end of this gen but it has been a big success for MS regardless. The next Xbox has an assured future and a big head start on the other big two. That is an amazing position to be in.
Plus, the kids from this gen will be young adults in the next gen, Sony and Nintendo recently announced they will not publish AO (Adults Only) titles on their consoles.

Funny, only Nintendo and Sony announced that.
Besides, if the Wii is the real threat these days, its hardly a threat in this particular area. :)

You're misinformed. MS doesn't allow AO on Xbox.
And Wii isn't a threat in that area? Is that why RE4 is the #1 selling game in the US?
did the SNES success ensure nintendo's domination in the next gen after it? did the PS2's success ensure Sony's domination this gen?SambaLele
Nintendo and Sony dont have the deep pockets that Microsoft have, they are sardines next to a whale.
Secondly, Nintendo and Sony were not considered intruders in the console market, Microsoft were villified since the days of the first Xbox, yet over time they have gained critical and market support for their efforts, they are better at making games systems than operating systems in my opinion. ;)

You still haven't given me a source for your comment on MS policy, repeating yourself doesn't make it true, show me the evidence.
Secondly, Resident Evil 4 is about the only mature game on the Wii, no wonder its no.1, its like handing a glass of water to dying man in the desert.

Though Manhunt 2 isn't slated for any of Microsoft's systems, the company has also confirmed that it does not allow AO-rated titles on the Xbox or Xbox 360.

Do I need a link to prove the sky is blue now? Common knowledge has disappeared.

As long as you provide the evidence, I have only seen the AO comment applied to Sony and Nintendo in the news reports I read.
For the record, I am very upset to see Microsoft jumping on this particular bandwagon. :(

Bandwagon? Are you an idiot?
All consoles have been like that ever since the ESRB was formed.
