The 360 does.

Just released today on LIVE for 400 MSP.

Another link from the actual site with a trailer.

Here is a video with actual editing.

Sounds cool. Indie game creation for the 360 has been around for quite a while now. This looks like a simplified version, but it's still interesting.

except you know, lbp is basically a level editor, no matter how you try to spin it, and this can make games? also isn't this that thing microsoft announced a day before the LBP announcement?, when it was called Boku?

I have yet to o a "hands on" with it, but I bet it's good for $5.00...even if it's only for laughs.

LBP sounds cool and all but this lets you create actual 3d environments.

It is cool. But this looks very different from anything LBP can do.

Because its really really bad so far, and Microsoft decided to shield it's consumers.

I just got done playing the trial and it actually has TONS of things to due and a huge array of options to take advantage of. Example: I can determine how fast one is able to fire a gun, how many bullets leave the gun each time it is fired, and your even able to choose how fast the bullets travel when they are in the air. There is a lot more than this that you can do. Someone who likes to design would have a blast with this editor.

That is true, LBP is a level editor.

But I have played levels similar to pacman, and this one really cool pirate level where you throw boxes off of the ship.

So in a way, we could make our own games in LBP, but its not really it's main purpose.

I agree, some really cool stuff can be done in lbp, have you seen the rpg someone made/is making?

Didn't UT3 on the PS3 have full mod support (via PC development, of course)? I only had a bit of time to play with Kodu yesterday, and it's pretty neat. One big question I still have though is : Can you share levels/games with others, or is it limited to co-op? The one thing that impresses me about LBP is how easy it is to share levels with others.

technically u can make games for the PS3. plonk linux on it, install an IDE for your language of choice (plus other tools of course) and get to work. unfortunately u cant use the graphics chip but you still have the cell and around 100MB of ram to play with (theres 256MB available but remember to leave some for the OS :P). you can also make lots of other apps for it if you want.
