Having a hard time thinking of a local split-screen co-op game. LBP has no split, but it is co-op. ModNation Racers allows for 4 players split screen, but that's competitive though.
Warhawk had excellent 4 player split screen action, but it was online MP rather than a campaign.
R2 had the best co-op I've played this gen, but I don't think it allowed 4 players to go split screen though.
Doesn't Xbox 360 gamers have anything better to play than Halo 3? I mean after all these years, they still have nothing to replace it.
No contest, HALO 3 split screen co-op campaign is beast.

I agree. Well, sadly I played that solo the first time through. But halo in general is just the best solo campaign because of the coop option.
And PS3 gamers still don't have an experience that comes close to it. We also have Reach which is just as awesome IMO. Gears 3 is also looking pretty tightDoesn't Xbox 360 gamers have anything better to play than Halo 3? I mean after all these years, they still have nothing to replace it.

Nobody does, really. Bungie has that on lockdown, apparently. I disagree on Gears. I found Gears 2 coop EXTREMELY boring and repetitive.

^ This. Modnation Racers, Killzone 3, Wipeout.
How does KZ3 beat it in split screen. I haven't played it but I've heard it can have framerate problems and it's only two player while halo can have up to 4. :?[QUOTE="TheMoreYouOwn"][QUOTE="cxcloud"]

How does KZ3 beat it in split screen. I haven't played it but I've heard it can have framerate problems and it's only two player while halo can have up to 4. :?Then I suggest you try playing it and not just go off of what you hear. I've played the campaign numerous times split screen and the framerate was fine the vast, vast majority of the time. The gun mechanics and gameplay make the experience more fun than Halo.

I've heard from a few reviews and people that it has issues and I'm much more inclined to believe them than you. Anyway 4 player > 2 player to me.[QUOTE="TheMoreYouOwn"][QUOTE="soulitane"] How does KZ3 beat it in split screen. Hey, you're the one who asked me how KZ3 beats Halo in split screen. I was answering.
Can't get three buddies, three controllers, and proceed to massacre each other on tightly made stages like Guardian. Does the PS3 have anything competitive that is split-screen and say, competitive (multiplayer that is)? No, which is a huge gaping hole for them.Meh, i've played it 1 on 1 split screen and coop and can't see the fun. A reallygood split screen FPS needs to be of the arena flavour.I prefer Geow2 split screen.
Gears Coop is awesome.Lto_thaG
God, I hate Splitscreeners...They always hold hands and camp together and ive never seen good ones either wether its because they hears sound from all screens or because whatever the hell their all doing together in the same room. I go out with my friends to sports bars and clubs for funbut I do have a dif account for splitscreening so as not to mess up my stats for when money is tight.
Seriously is that the best 360 can do?
People keep reinventing new hyped markers to tout the same old tired games. Dose 360 have anything to compete in the broader spectrum of video game other than shooting, and one racing game? Get with the program guys nobody cares about the same old 2games hyped and reinvented the over and over year after year.

So I guress Warhawk: 32 players online 4 player split screen+dedicated servers>>> Halo 3: 16 player onine 4 player split screen, P2P. or dose that same logic not apply anymore?
BTW: both of those games came out in 2007.
*laughs* no lag...you obviously have never played warhawk which had server drops and lag when it first launched hell even now, Dedicated servers do not guarantee no lag infact in online multiplayer there is no such thing as no lag the only time you have next to no lag is at a lan party.Seriously is that the best 360 can do?

[QUOTE="Birdy09"][QUOTE="RR360DD"] Says a PC gamer  surprising. WilliamRLBakerI have consoles.... *shocker* Good for you I have a ps3 and wii doesn't mean I'm not biased... How is my preference on system related to this?... surely if split screen was a huge deal I wouldn't be leaning towards PCs would I? .... The best console Co-oP games are the ones that dont rely on Split screen, which is horrible to look at even on big screens, and well, if your playing competetivly is cheap as hell, good thing its going the way of the dodo. But its ok, you dont have to lug your heavy PCs around since consoles are light right?
So after several nights of my friends coming over to party, we got a huge number of Halo matches in. Not Reach with its cruddy maps, mind you, but Halo ODST's Halo 3 MP disc. God, Guardian Team Slayer is just amazing, with chips, nacho cheese, and various expletives being thrown around. Not to mention we can take it online if I bad Xbox Live. Is there any PS3 game that even matches up to this amazing level of fun that is 4+ player split screen? I've had fun with NBA 2K11 7 players offline too. Not necessarily exclusive, but is there one? How's Resistance: Fall of Man 4-player offline? Warhawk is decent. What about Starhawk, will that be as fun?BlabadonHow is any Halo 60 players at once,oh wait how about 8 players co-op,since you use more players as point i have to say no game on 360 come close to Resistance 2.. 60 players online 8 players co-op. Halo what.? Also Reach is better than Halo 3 and ODST combined.
,Dedicated servers do not guarantee no lag infact in online multiplayer there is no such thing as no lag the only time you have next to no lag is at a lan party.I wish people that have not even the basic understanding of the nature of servers, and internet workings wouldn'tcomment with such things as no lag.WilliamRLBakerI've never had lag when playing it and I"m an IT engineer. *shrug*

I wonder if some of these posters know what splitscreen is. Kinda answers the question for you. HarlockJCSeriously. Besides, Halo is so fun to just pick up and play, whereas Warhawk is online only and chances are a new person will easily get their asses kicked by someone in a Warhawk. And Resistance 2? Please, what are you going to do with friends, pass around the controller every kill?
