This list is insanely long andfilled with arguably more quality than any exclusive lineup (Be it Wii, Ps3, or 360)...........

End of 07 Multiplats (not on Wii, but on PS3/360)

  • DiRT (recently released)
  • The Darkness (recently released)
  • NCAA Football 08 (recently released)
  • Assassin's Creed
  • Grand Theft Auto IV
  • Rock Band
  • Call of Duty 4
  • Devil May Cry 4
  • Mercenaries 2
  • Haze
  • Unreal Tournament 3
  • Skate
  • Half Life 2 Orange Box
  • Army of Two
  • Burnout Paradise
  • Jericho
  • Virtua Fighter 5
  • Stranglehold

I am just wondering about some sheeps thoughts on this list. I mean do you have no interest in playing any of these games at all? These are all games, in addition to great exclusives for each respective system, that are PS3/360 multiplat only. (Games that are only a 360/PC or PS3/PC multiplat were left off....it included things like Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, etc.). If there were any other solid games I left off let me know.

I do think they miss out true next-gen gaming, one enriched by next-gen technology.

They obviously miss out on the best 3rd party games, mainly multiplats. But hey, money = games. So they patiently waits to own us when all the devs abandon us and go to the Wii.

yes they do, sheep may have some of the best exclusives but far too many multiplats are only PS3/360 or 360/PC and not appearing on the Wii

Pure Nintendo fans are getiting what they want (Mario, Metroid, Zelda, and then more Mario). Then it is up to the individual gamer to decided what they want. Did they want Wii-Sports or Gears of War? Are they happy with their version of Call of Duty and Red Steel? Do they want something a little more intense than Wario Ware?

Nintendo fans that hang around here know what they are missing. Some care, some dont. Those that care likely have another system.

i own a 360 but i dont feel like im missing out, the reason is i dont want many of the games im missing out on. so it all comes down to perspective. it's like rubbing the fact that (personal example here) i have a a lot of bionicles but then my friends dont give a crap. or that some guys has a huge gaming collection and he's trying to rub it in the face of some guy that doesn't even play video games.

At the end of the gen, I would probably say yes.  Fortunately Nintendo's fantastic first party exclusives sets it apart.  This means that alot os gamers will buy at least two consoles this gen to ensure they don't miss out on too much if anything.
EDIT:  This doesn't mean to say that the Wii will necessarily miss out in quality.  I simply assumed this thread was based around the quantity of anticipated titles.  Quality is of course to be judged by the individual.  Also, I'm sure that the Wii will get some quality third party support, and by that I mean significantly more than the Gamecube had.

I just don't know how sheep can argue that they have the best lineup of games when these games are better than any other systems lineup by themselves. It's not a contest really.

How many Wii owners, especially even harcore "sheep" on this forum only own the Wii? Not very many I'd guess, usually they own the Wii and something else (or are planning to buy something else in the very near future)... so they're not likely to be missing out on much, really. They just so happen to post most often about their Wiis, that's all.

The same goes for all the fanboy groups.

First of all, it seems abit extreme to argue that these games are better than X, since in 95% of the cases, noone has played either. Second, we all know Nintendo could've developed graphics on par with the other two consoles, but decided to go with a cheaper console. Also, their vision for the Wii motion control would've made it practically impossible to convert many of the multiplatform games properly, without a lot of extra work put in. I think its really brilliant of Nintendo. They know MS and Sony got more money to put in, and loose, so they decide to just go in the opposite direction. The result? Consoles they actually make a profit on, a huge casual market. The hardcore players with a Wii will in most cases have a 360 as well for the multi-plats anyway.

Doesn't that just re-affirm that the Wii is a good secondary console. I mean just look at all those games.

I guess, sure... but I don't view any console as a "primary" console, at least not in my house. They all complement eachother.

For example, I want to play Prime 3, Galaxy, MGS4, Halo 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Halo, RE5, the next GodOW, etc. The list goes on and on.The only way to do it is to own all three.

Really, if you don't own all of the platforms it's a guarantee you'll be missing out one something in the near future. For example, I don't have a gaming PC and I want to play Crysis (badly.) I'll be missing out on that one, but I can deal with it.

But I do agree that in my house the Wii has got by far the least play of all of the consoles up to this point. I'm sure that'll change by the end of August, though (Prime.)

depends on what games the individual likes more. there are a million lists posted about every system. all that matters is what ppl like so for some a ps3/360 might be secondary.

For me my pc and wii were tied for a while but now i converted a lot of my guild to Guild Wars and playing my pc more.

I don't think these games are better than any other systems line up. In fact none of them that I'm interested in are even 360/PS3 exclusives because they're also going to the PC. Mercs 2 and Assassin's Creed will be on PC. Since I'm not all that interested in the other titles, I have no idea if the author's claims for those are correct as well.

Like someone previously posted, if the Wii owners are wanting to play any of those games they will own another system (PS3, 360, or PC) to play them.

It's nice and all to say that they could've done this or could've done that and didn't. If you wanna keep saying that then go ahead. But the fact is that they didn't. And this is what Wii-onlys are left with. Aconsole devoid of the richest videogame lineup in the gaming world...........3rd party multiplats. And again you are re-affirming the fact that the Wii is a secondary console as well.

That lineup will be 10x weaker than this lineup of multiplats. The Wii doesn't even have barely any multiplats. And the PS3 and 360 have great exclusives lineups as well to go along with the great multiplat lineup.

You're right, there's a lot of nice titles the Wii won't get. However, I consider it a secondary platform to augment a more power-oriented one-in my case, the PC. That way, I get to have my Bioshock and Crysis(not to mention all of the other numerous PC games, as well as games for other platforms like the Amiga courtesy of emulation), as well as some SSBB, Battalion Wars 2, and Metroid Prime 3 on the side. Oh, and before I forget-the Wii was never about multiplatform games anyway, not with that new controller. It's all about the exclusives that truly take advantage of the Wiimote.

So, you can own every one of the other consoles and the PC, and still miss out on Nintendo IPs and a few other 3rd party exclusives.

Alternatively, you can own just one of the others PC/360/PS3 and play a good deal of that "exclusively not on Wii" list.

The number of great titles you will be missing out on though is far greater had you owned only a Wii vs. only a PS3 or 360 (or even PC maybe).

Yeah, but now you're talking about the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC COMBINED. Not that it would make too much of a difference if it were only one of those, though...especially the PC and its enormous library dating back to the 1980s(though games that old were probably better on a C64 or Amiga anyway). EDIT: Saw your edit there, making this post redundant.

Yeah, but now you're talking about the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC COMBINED. Not that it would make too much of a difference if it were only one of those, though...especially the PC and its enormous library dating back to the 1980s(though games that old were probably better on a C64 or Amiga anyway).

Yeah, I edited my post to illustrate what I meant better.

So, you can own every one of the other consoles and the PC, and still miss out on Nintendo IPs and a few other 3rd party exclusives.

I just edited my post after I noticed your edit...how ironic.

[QUOTE="MikeE21286"]I'd say it's majority opinion pretty much.

Eponique

Well, obviously the amount of Microsoft and Sony fanboys outnumber the Nintendo fanboys.

I'm not talking only in here, but outside of here.

Alternatively, you can own just one of the others PC/360/PS3 and play a good deal of that "exclusively not on Wii" list.

Jandurin

I also edited my post before you responded .

Anyway, clearly, the obvious answer is to own at LEAST a Wii and one other gaming platform for maximum win.

That was my point.

How many Wii owners, especially even harcore "sheep" on this forum only own the Wii? Not very many I'd guess, usually they own the Wii and something else... so they're not likely to be missing out on much, really. They just so happen to post most often about their Wiis, that's all.

The same goes for all the fanboy groups.

Skie7

Doesn't that just re-affirm that the Wii is a good secondary console. I mean just look at all those games.

I can list exclusives for the Wii and say "Lawl, not coming to the PS360, sekonderi lmao!"

:\

That lineup will be 10x weaker than this lineup of multiplats. The Wii doesn't even have barely any multiplats. And the PS3 and 360 have great exclusives lineups as well to go along with the great multiplat lineup.

Based on your opinion of the games.

So list them list the multiplates then i will make a poll and see which ones people would want more and ill bet you it aint the wii's, the wii is just like the gamecube only 1st party no 3rd. Im not trying to bash the wii I have one but it is the truth sorry.

This list is insanely long andfilled with arguably more quality than any exclusive lineup (Be it Wii, Ps3, or 360)...........

End of 07 Multiplats (not on Wii, but on PS3/360)

I am just wondering about some sheeps thoughts on this list. I mean do you have no interest in playing any of these games at all? These are all games, in addition to great exclusives for each respective system, that are PS3/360 multiplat only. (Games that are only a 360/PC or PS3/PC multiplat were left off....it included things like Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, etc.). If there were any other solid games I left off let me know.

MikeE21286

I find it funny that out of that entire list, the only game that is exclusive to the PS3/360 combo that I'm also interested in is Grand Theft Auto IV.

Edit: I just came up with a slogan for the DS just by reading your sig.

"You can't have frienDSwithout DS."
