Ok Nintendo fans, I was looking for a new console but I wanted to make sure the system had cloud storage.

I know PS4 and Xbone offer cloud serves, and even PS3 and Xbox 360 (last-gen consoles) offer cloud saving.

So why doesn't the Wii U (a supposed next-gen console) have cloud saving?

Is it too weak, or is Nintendo simply a bad console maker?

U tell me.

Nintendo would rather charge for cloud saves on a per game basis(Pokemon).

They really do that?

That's just plain greed.

That's not Nintendo, that's The Pokemon Company.

Different entities entirely.

I doubt Nintendo has no say in what additional services are being offered in a product they publish.

I'm sure Nintendo didn't oppose the move or anything, but the policies of The Pokemon Company have no bearing on the policies of Nintendo is what I am saying. They're distinct corporate entities.

No, it's not on a "per game basis". The Pokemon app. is a piece of software separate from any specific game, but applicable to potentially all future installments. So no, they didn't do it on a per game basis, if anything, this is on a per franchise basis. The app. will be used across many generations allowing you to continually bring Pokemon with you through the ages. For example, from Pokemon B/W to X/Y, to future installments (hypothetically) such as Pokemon Stadium or Pokemon A and B.
