Do you believe the wii-mote could be put to better use if applied to a more hi-tech system? Or if high rank developers did more work for it?

What I mean is that when I saw the trailer for the wii-mote for the first time a lot of ideas ran through my head , but I am slightly disappointed with it. I was hoping for more of a better experience with it, but I still enjoy my wii(I got alot of great games for it:D). I was just wondering what you guys think, were my idea of there being mind blowing games still possible or was it all hype.

Yes, it does imo.

Especially for the shooter genre.

I don't think so. I think it's too cheaply made to actually be any more well utilized than it already is. It lags a bit and it's not always as accurate as I'd wish it could be.

No because devs are scard to make games for it, look at the shooter line-up.

Yes it feels great...I want to see companies keep building on the tech, which is one of the reasons I am happy to see motionplus coming out.

of course it does. developers are just not using it to its full strength. i swear that if the actual Wii was capable of running something like House of the Dead 4, I'd buy a wii asap

Yes it has loads of ptential, the IR pointer is currently the best part though, but when motionplus comes out, there'll be less waggle games, which is the major downside of the remote at the moment, it's not sensitive enough to have more than 3 or 4 motions to use in a game, so in a swordfighting game you have left right up down, maybe stab, with motion plus you'll just have any direction.

The wiimote and huge potential. it's just too bad that more devs aren't trying to use it well.

Yes, although I think alot of ideas people have won't work unless a major part of the character movement is cpu controlled or people grow a 3rd hand.
