Don't be fooled by the Wii people

I've played all 3 systems so I feel like I can say this without bias

 The Wii is nothing but a gimmick people, you gotta realize that to start with.  It's basically a gamecube with a motion sensing controller, woopidie doo.  How long will the fact that you can move your guy around by waving the controller interest even the most simple minded people?  Nintendo pulled out the only thing they could do as a last ditch attempt to make noise in the console wars by doing this, but didn't sell out by making adult oriented games like Sony and Microsoft have (although they've done it since they started in the industry so their not selling out). 

The facts are most of the people who play video games are adults 18+ and teens 13-17, and majorly male.  Going back to when i was 12 I had little interest in kiddie games and from experience with most other guys my age we all felt the same, that Nintendo was ok but Playstation was amazing because of the graphics, adult themes, and more advanced gameplay.  Then xbox came out with online multiplayer, sony followed with ps3 and Nintendo STILL refuses to make a serious effort at online, therefore nailing their own coffin, it's only a matter of time before they fall now for their complete ignorance as to where the industry has evolved.  They let Sony mortally wound them and their refusal to fight Sony and Microsoft back has all but assured their failure.  The truth is just not that many people want to play kiddie games and games thta look crappy compared to the other systems

 They aimed the Wii at non gamers and family's with the motion sensor, but how long will a non gamer stay interested with games like Cooking Mama's Cook Off or w/e it's called, specially when they see games like Gears of War, Motorstorm, or Lair on an HDTV.  I know us hardcore games don't like to whore ourselves to graphics, but Nintendo has made it known they are targeting non gamers, well non gamers don't like Pokemon or Tamagatchi, they like violence and stuff crashing/blowing up.  The reason why it's done so well right now is cause of it's price and the gimmick, but soon that gimmick will wear off from Nintendo's usual weak lineup of games and they will fall right back down to a distant third, and their eventual tombstone should say "We killed ourselves".

wow i just got done posting that and have my first fanboy already, games sell systems in the long run which was why PS2 dominated even though xbox was slightly more powerful and had online multiplayer.  The Wii WILL NOT stay in 1st with the upcoming lineup I saw.  It was in EGM's issue last month

 Here are the exclusive Wii "Big Games" they previewed

 Cooking Mama Cook off, Tamagotchi Party on, Dewy's Adventure, Super Paper Mario, Alien Syndrome, Heatseeker, Escape From Bug Island, My Sims, Mario Party 8, Space Station Tycoon

 Now with the exception of heatseeker, all of those games are obvious just from looking at them that their geared for young kids, I know it's hard for a hardcore gamer to like a game for graphics, but that's what a non gamer does.

 How can the Wii compete when PS3 released Motorstorm and is releasing Lair, MGS4, and others and 360 is releasing Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock and others (GTA4 for both systems).  Their destined to finish 3rd again i'm sorry to all the nintendo fanboys i've hurt but that's what the truth will do to denyers

 yeah there really is no point in arguing, i'm just speaking not only from my point of view but people from my college that i've talked to, just not that many like the Wii or think it's just Ok..I don't want to tell people to not play games they like, if you like kiddie games then for the love of god buy the wii and knock yourself out, good for you...it's more addressed to non gamers out there to not like it just for the controller and focus on the games

You missed my point when i said it's winning right now cause it's a GIMMICK, fooling people with sub par games but it's the controller that has them fixated right now...and my point was that in time it will lose it's effect on people and they will start to play the other stuff because of the actual game

k yeah i know it looks like an alt account, and i guess in a way it is.  I had a lvl 5 one that i last used in i think it was july or august and can't remember the login name or the password, so i was forced to make a new one. 

I don't know what's so flawed about my posts i simply played the wii and the gimmick didn't work on me, i pretended like it was a normal controller and judged the games from that and they were atrocious.  Yeha i can't say whats coming out in the next 5 years for it, who knows maybe Nintendo will get their act together and surprise me.  It's only "flawed" cause the Wii-people (i like that name too) don't aggree with me, and that's fine i'm not purposely trying to convert people, just make them realize that AT THIS MOMENT why the Wii is doing great
