Dont hate Wii, instead we should hate.....

The game developers who are rushing crap out just for the sake of making a buck.

I am 36 and own a Wii and Ps3. Right now I only play my PS3 and look at my Wii waiting for some good games. I think the PS3 is the best console for me this gen but I do enjoy what the Wii has to offer when it is done right.

PS3 is a graphics powerhouse with great games that offer envolving gameplay and great stories. MGS4, Bioshock, LBP are great.

I find the Wii to be a simple system but one that offers FUN.

Dont hate Wii. I am hoping to see some great games soon. The one I am moste excited about is a 2d side scrolling ninja game with fantastic graphics and animatioin. Cant remember the name though.

i know that ninja game it looks pretty cool, but the developer said they are hoping for a late 2009 - early 2010 release so you've got quite a wait.

I still have a few games to get for the wii that are old, such as paper mario, boom blox, de blob, brawl and no more heroes.

I currently have 10 wii games, although not fantastic i wouldn't say it's too bad considering the quality. Thats since launch, compared to about 35 360 games since launch probably more as i traded a few since launch. The ps3 i've had since october 2008 and have 10 games, so although the wii is pretty weak in comparison it allows me to finish the otehr games i have. Nintendo systems have always been about fun, and will never stop, it's just a shame that some 3rd party publishers aren't using it's success properly.

Well that dosn't make any sense. You call your self the Lem President, yet when it comes to Microsofts second major rival in the gaming industry, and you don't even show them any hate what so ever. To be honest man, I think you can do better if your going to try and keep this act up (Or perhaps more appropriately much worse.).

On any account it's true that the Wii has potential for great games, and some 3rd party developers have taken advantage of this and made some truely original and great games. Nintendo are hard at work with their first party franchises, some casual, some traditional Nintendo clasiscs. The main problem is so many more just see it as a great advantage to lower the cost of development of their crappy games. The Wii then has a library flooded with crap games, and all the truely great ones strugle to breath, and the end result is they die, smoothred by shovelware. You can't control something like that, and it's quite sad as you watch the consoles potential drain away.

I don't hate the wii, however I find it to be extremely disappointing. I also feel that nintendo needs to work on encouraging developers to take their system seriously. The wii is the best selling system because people eat up motion control. Nintendo should restore the seal of quality and give it some meaning. Nintendo needs to become more closely invovled with the bigger developers to foster new projects.

Nintendo's biggest problem imo is the lost of Rareware after the N64. Nintendo needs other developers to develop the level of quality games that Rare did.

The wii might be worth it after the gen is over and its significantly cheaper with a fuller library, but its not worth it now.

Edit: I think the wii is an amazing opportunity to prove that developers can use the wii as system to produce games that are risks. Risks are so important to gaming, Final Fantasy and Resident Evil for example were both risks. Sadly the risks seem to be going to PSP and DS. Why?

I agree that the Wii has a great opportunity to develop unique titles, but have not delivered much as of yet. there are still many years to work out the kinks and really hit the ground running in the next gen, whenever that may bem

As for the first post, Muramasa: The Demon Blade is the game you are thinking of. The art directions looks amazing. Of course detractions will see a 2D game and just scoof, but you can't please everyone.

It's partially the Wii's "fault" for creating the kind of market that it did. It would more difficult to "rush crap" (or maybe we wouldn't notice as much) if it had better competition, such as the vast majority of good/great multiplatform games that the Wii misses out on.

the thing about the wii is that it can be hated on by anyone which is a good thing:)
