Don't judge a game by it's demo?

WTH is this? The sole purpose of a demo is to show you if you like the game or not. The only exception I can think of is the PC where they purposefully don't allow the higher graphics to make the DL smaller, like Crysis or COD4. I'm tired of console people saying not to judge a game by the demo.

Maybe I should prepare my Flame Shield :P

BTW I am a console gamer, my PC is in no shape to run the latest games at a respectable level.

Well if they can't make a good demo...
45-65 euro's is a lot of money to throw away.

The best indication is to rent. (haha)
Otherwise listening to a reviewer who has a very similar taste.
Demo comes 3rd for me.

Patches can fix the game, but many people don't have access to those over the internet, just don't pay attention to those or the patches simply aren't even made. I know many casuals (god I hate that word) that didn't even know there was a patch for a game. I guess my point is that you can't just rely on a patch that may or may not be released in the future.Sweet_Lemon

I think that's kinda the point of a demo. Anyone who thinks otherwise is making excuses.

i was kinda put of from gettin virtua fighter once i played the demo, its not that its a bad game it just once i played i realised its the exact game as every other fighter out there with the exception of havingawesome graphics, so ive saved £40 thanks to that demo. Not all games need demos, i preordered bioshock way before the demo and i,ll be getting mass effect without the need of a demo.

People should research a game before they buy, look at various website rather then just one cos each website will offer a different take on wats good and bad about the game

i wish the wii would start doin demos, i guess i should just start renting wii games

lol, keep telling that yourself and still it won't make it true. GS score is only given by a grand total of one person, and its an opinion of a OMG one person! yeah, it really counts alot.
