Don't think the PS3 will magically pick up in sales.

There's no denying that the ps3's reception was cooler than expected, Sure, it sold out at first, butsales every where slowed down quickly after that. Now you are always telling us to "Wait for _____. Once it comes out, the PS3 will leave the Wii and 360 in the dust!"

Sorry, but it's not that simple. Thge ps3 has some great games comming out for it, but so do the competitors. So while some people are waiting for Killzone 2 and MGS4, other people are waiting for Halo 3 and GTA IV. Every console has its games, and the PS3 doesn't have the market to its self like the PS2 did for a while.

Also adding to this is the price tag, which sacres most people away. They won't buy a ps3 for multiplats because the 360 is $200 cheaper.

That's not to say that the PS3 will fail. All I'm saying is don't expect it to suddenly become the most popular when they game you're waiting for comes out. The PS3 simply isn't in the same position as the PS2 was.

Regardless, the PS3 will improve in time. So will the other consoles, but that just means it's good for everyone.

I completely agree.

It's obvious to everyone (but cows) that the PS3 is going to lose a ton of marketshare. This is the gen Sony's dominance ends.

Magic you say? Meet the new CEO of SCE.

Who knows. With a bigger game library and a price drop next years, things could turn around.

I agree with your thoughts completely. Although, I would like to add(just because some people are gonna point this out) GTA IV is on both PS3 and the 360.

no magic. it will depend on games and price drop. it'll need a healthy dose of both.

Yes, but considering that Sony is losing a lot more money than Microsoft is right now, Microsoft can turn around and do the same thing, which will mean it won't even matter in the end.

even if both companies cut their prices by $200, a $400 console will sell better then a $600 console

Yeah, but I'm sure there are people waiting to get a PS3 once the price drops, so sayign 'Microsoft will do the same' is a silly argument. If someone wanted a cheaper system, they wouldn't wait for Microsoft or Sony to drop its price, they would just get a Wii.

PS3 stole the "don't buy me" image of the Gamecube. It's all uphill from here for Sony, with no plateaus in sight.
