Take for example, last-gen ports on the Wii.

When a great game from last-gen is said to be ported to the Wii, possibly with extra content, and it gets even the slightest amount of attention from Wii-owners, it's bashed by Wii-haters simply because it's from last-gen.

"I played that last-gen, who cares."

I can understand that, but if you are going to forget these games, then forget the games that flew under the radar as well, as no one cares about them.

This isn't the case, if a game Wii-owners aren't excited about is ported to the Wii and scores poorly, which is most likely to be expected, Wii-haters are quick to highlight it and continuously flame Wii-owners about it.

How does this make any sense?

While this is true, I was trying to attribute this to more than just fanboys. I've noticed this from a lot of posters that even the slightest disinterest in the Wii...

Pretty sure that is not what a double standard is. That's just being a jerk. The double standard would be if someone bashes Re4 on the Wii "I played that last gen LMAO!" and then turns around and says "MAN! Pac-Man on the XBLA is so awesome! One of the greatest things ever!"

Double Standards are part of what makes System Wars fun. They're almost as fun as the stereotypes.
