I looked through 5 pages and nothing on this gem, am I the only one counting the days? DAO is a classic in my opinion it is the game the lord of the rings should have been but oh so wasn't. Drama, war, romance, intrigue, sex, friendship and betrayal. Every thing you need for a good yarn mix that with good game play and you have your self a classic. So where are you all?

Even though i will be getting it, I am not too excited for it tbh, maybe I havent heard much to get me interested all ive heard was "rebuild the Grey Wardens" and seen some rather uninteresting characters... at least Alistair is back. Not even sure where the game is set at.

Meh, DAO was an attempt to recapture old glory. They made a quality game, but frankly, it was just a very solid game - nothing *really* memorable. For all the time Bioware spent on DAO, it should have been a lot better... You know, about as good as Mass Effect 2 was.

I'm still undecided. I'm at Orzamaar on my second playthrough of DAO, and this questline is going on way too long, i'm so sick of fighting ****. I hope Awakenings does not have parts that drag.

At 40$, this isn't a mere expansion. I'm just hoping the quality doesn't feel "tacked on" as an epilogue to DAO, and the length isn't either too short. I'm hoping it's a lengthy but rich campaign that offers hours of playthrough for the price of admission. I'm still unsure as to how it is this expansion handled : on PS3 and 360, it runs on a separate disc with a separate install, along with separate save files? Or are the save files specifically end-game save files from DAO ported to DAO Awakening, and cannot be run without first owning and completing the original game?

I'm getting it, DAO ended on such a great note for me, I feel like starting a fresh round right when I'm done my current term. And I'm getting awakening for sure.

I'm undecided. I found Dragon Age rather unimpressive, so while I don't ever skip on Bioware games, I think I might make an exception for future DA games. But hey, if this expansion is substantially better (like, say, Mask of the Betrayer) then I'll check it out.

I'm counting the days! :D. Honestly, I liked Dragon Age a little more than Mass Effect 2 (and believe me, I REALLY loved ME2). $40 is a little steep for an expansion, but I have faith in Bioware.

I'll be getting this game. I should really finish the first one though. I like DA:O, but for some reason I just keep putting if off in favor of other games. I'll try my best to finish at least one playthrough before getting Awakenings though.

What didn't you like?

The setting, the story, the dialogue, the pacing, the random difficulty spikes, the tiny world, the bland artsty|e, the lack of character options, the way the combat worked...etc.

In short, I thought it was quite boring, but some of the characters were interesting. :P
If they made an expansion pack with an awesome setting and story, I'd be a lot more interested.

I think it'll be much more lengthy than Shivering Isles. It's supposed to be 15 - 20 hours long. For $40 it better be.

I'm skeptical anytime BioWare releases anything that isn't technically a full game. Their post-launch day DLC is terrible and it definitely makes me question how well they can handle an expansion pack.

Yes, actually, and better than Dragon Age by quite a long shot.

At the very least, ME2 was a solid, consistently entertaining shooter; Dragon Age was mostly trash, with what good role playing content it had sitting buried under layer after layer of dull, incredibly protracted combat slogging (that makes up the vast majority of the game content), bad level design, a boring, tiny gameworld, and an awful story.

I'll take the former over the latter, any day of the week.
