I'm sure this thread will garner some attention if it ends up scoring well. But if it don't, it's dead.
Dragon Quest: Builders is really cool and cute. It's a lot like Minecraft. It feels a lot more linear and explanatory though. From the get-go, you get told what to do, and how to do it. Which isn't a bad thing. Early Minecraft was pretty much free-for-all, but later versions introduced objectives and tutorials, hell, even an end-game. This game seems to be that.
So far, it doesn't seem to be as "free" as Minecraft. Building stuff doesn't seem to be as easy or intuitive as Minecraft. For example, there's no swimming. I fell in the water, I took some damage, and the game respawned me next to the spot I fell in. Disappointing.
Regardless though, it's cute, the music is good, and I think that any person that digs Minecraft and Dragon Quest will dig this, but like I said, so far, it's kinda limited. But maybe that might be a good thing for certain individuals.
Thoughts? Might be someone here that bought it.
