Dragon's Dogma Confirmed For PC, Launching January 2016

From what I understand, this is an excellent game, and one that seems singularly suited to the PC. PC players have wanted it for a while, so it's good to see Capcom respond.

I just hope they either port it to PS4/Xbox One as well, or make a new one entirely.

Meh game is meh. The lack of a real fast travel system killed that game for me. Maybe they can fix that with mods. Also, not letting me build the character I want sucked.

It only had those on Xbox 360 and PS3 because they didn't have enough hardware resources to support the game at full resolution, this will not be an issue with the PC release.

Despite the crappy frame rate I still love this game and wish we get a current gen version. and since there is a PC release I am hoping for a PS4 one too and when both do well hopefully we get a sequel for this gen because it was evident that DD was held back by last gen.

Capcom are the new gods.

I will play this again just to play it at 60FPS, rather than the 15FPS the PS3 version was.

DD has an awesome combat system but the shit framerate and black bars ruin it. Plus no fast travel, boring overworld, etc, made getting to bosses a pain after awhile.

Now we can get 60fps, no blackbars and mods to fix a ton of the issues i had with the game.

Yeah, when that happens, you're free to claim the 'JRPG King' status.

But right now, PC doesn't have Final Fantasy XV, Dragon Quest XI, Bravely Default, Fire Emblem, Shin Megami Tensei, Monster Hunter, Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Persona, basically it has none of the top JRPG franchises, how in the world is it a 'JRPG king?' I'm excited about increased Japanese support for PC too, but let's not get carried away.

Even if Capcom **** up, modders exist breh.

I imagine (hope?) they will fix a lot of issues with the game with this release, too.

I hope, I sort of want an enhanced version to launch for PS4 and Xbox One as well, so if the PC version is well done, it could serve as a base.

We have enough combat/action RPGs, I would kill for a story driven AAA or high production value indi RPG. All we have gotten in the last 3+ years that is decent is PoE.

Still the best gameplay mechanics in any RPG, it puts Inquisition to shame.

As a side note - unless they pull a Destiny and go back and completely rerecord all the dialogue and redo the translation, I can't even see giving this another shot. The story was bad/nonsensical, but the dialogue and voice acting took it to another level, it was truly cringe-worthy 90% of the time.

Great game spent a ton of time on the PS3 version, might just have to pick this up aswell.

Well, that's some good news. I thought we were only going to get Dragons Dogma Online.

I won't get too excited just yet until the port's quality is assessed, but cautiously optimistic.

well its about bloody time. its madness that this wasnt brought to the PC sooner. its great that publishers like capcom are giving the PC more attention but the one game, the ONE game, they made last gen that grabbed my attention was this (well and mH3 but there as 0 chance that was going to be on the PC, officially at least).

Its only to get people more interested/invested in Dragons Dogma Online.

Stop looking for great story, in RPGs where the strengths lie in other places. Or vice versa.

Planecaspe: Torment is terrible because it doesn't have great combat.

Temple of Elemental Evil stinks because the story is weak.

Crapcom. Now if only M$ would port Lost Odyssey to PC. Final Fantasy XV would probably come on PC. SEGA announced Football Manager 2016, a game shine best on PC.

I loved this game, easily my top five of last gen. Playing it at a decent framerate and high resolution is a dream come true.

Finally. This is one of the few titles I want to play on my PS3, but found the experience unbearable due to low framerate. Now my wait pays off.

Same here. I ended up never finishing the game because of the annoying framerate.

This should be good. Performance & resolution wise the game was pretty messy on ps3 & 360.

Playing at 1080p & 60 fps. Can't wait.
